अध्यात्म मार्ग की विविध सीढ़ियाँ AV Ep 1436 l Daily Satsang l 25th Jan 22 Anandmurti Gurumaa

Tyag Vritti should be there so how many things? how many things should be kept I am asking that..you went to four how much is necessary but it's a good thing, that answer was also not wrong, that was fine let's revise...how many? No.1 humility...No.2 Non-violence..No.3.Calmness and No.4 Sacrifice you need to see in your mind that these are present within us or not? if they are not there then don't start crying...if they are not then work on them now lets come to fifth step of knowledge and that is Niyama (Rules) there should be rules in the life of a seeker everything is running by rules sun rises with a rule..sets seasons come...new moon comes by rule, full moon by rule Nakshatra (Stars and planets) run by rules rotation of Earth is happening by rule Earth is revolving on its own axis, Moon is going, moving on its axis sun is doing its revolution, Earth is doing revolution of sun moon is doing revolution of Earth, everybody is in a discipline so the ocean of knowledge can't be indiscipline Niyama should definitely be possessed when master give Niyama and the disciple follow that Niyama this becomes an ideal relation of master and disciple sishya is called disciple in english disciple means one who follows the discipline is a disciple and one who gives the discipline is a Guru so what is that one thing that connect both Guru and disciple...that is discipline Niyama (discipline)...now where discipline comes to follow discipline, you can't keep laziness..Right? It's rule we can't be careless then rule will be followed discipline ties us on this regard someone has ask me this question I am taking it along also that what is mantra anusthhan? and how can that be done? and what does it mean? See..the meaning of mantra anusthan is you give yourself a rule that everyday I will do Jaap sitting for this much time whatever may be the mantra...it's Mool Mantra it's Mahamrutyunjay, it's of Shiva, it's Pranav or whatever mantra is there...it's Gayatri or someone has taken rule of paath that everyday I will read Sukhmani Sahib, everyday I will read Japji now if you eat Rasgulla you enjoy every bite of it and you chew it nicely and you try to linger on by keeping it more in your mouth, that's how you get the taste...Right? so when you do mantra or when you do some Paath so should do it with that much taste also should not be in hurry suppose you are doing mantra and what happened in rule...Anusthan means discipline say you took discipline that I will do 11,000 mantra everyday I will do 21,000 or I will do 30,000 mantra it's difficult how much you want to give to do more mantra means have to sit for that much time now you can sit for 2 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours 4 hours? We can't sit for 40 minutes one was saying, "Leg pains" I say, "walk a little" you don't walk that's why while sitting they get okay when the hinges of your houses get jammed then what do you do? you oil it so like it's good to oil hinges outside similarly in your body how many hinges and joints are there they are to be massaged also only you will eat oil...won't you massage it little in joints...so your two shoulders knees...ankles..fingers fingers of feet, thumb heels..kneel..head..neck...wherever joints are there should do regular massage of all those joints by ourselves if it's winter then do with sesame oil if it's summer then do with coconut oil if there is any pain then take medicinal oil from any vaidya Right? Now with that oil many times I say..See take oil with two palms like this and put hands on knees so Om Namah Sivay...Om Namah Sivay...joyfully think like both your knees are tabla and you are playing tabla Om Namah Sivay...Om Namah Sivay..Om Namah Sivay and joyfully how children sings when children sings they sing joyfully and when children sing they sing with happiness so you do mantra with joy whichever mantra may be see body belongs to God name of God you rub it if you will take small mantra then it will be much better if mantra is of one word only then it will be much better whichever mantra may be....waheguru...waheguru...waheguru and what will happen you know...so much joy will come..you will forget knees...so much joy knees also right...mind also right see make your spiritual practices very interesting many people while doing mantra they have lines at their forehead like they are ready fight with Ram Ji I have brought bow now...Ram come in front now will you throw arrow....what will you do? there shouldn't be any lines on the forehead small girl whose name was Pinky she sees her mother pressing clothes so says, "Mommy what are you doing?" Mommy says, "Pinky, there are folds, wrinkles in clothes" so to those..see how beautiful they have become, I am removing all the folds says, "do on grandmother's forehead also" and do one on grandfather's forehead also because permanent wrinkle..anger... ready to fight by frowning continuously lines have become permanent on forehead bumper have come at least while doing bhajan always check... else putting a mirror in front keep checking your face and say yourself...stupid..make your face straight then you will look beautiful does the crooked face looks good? Say you won't feel good yourself...you won't feel your own face good so keep your face such that if anyone sees then will Lord's face be better than your face? when I saw you I felt that I saw the Lord only do you feel looking at your face anyone will feel it? so all the time if you can do that then have a happy face and if you can not then at least when you sit for your bhajan make your face relaxed so should make your spiritual practice joyful should make it joyful so when you sit with discipline you will for 1 hour, 2 hour, 1.5 hour, how much time you can give make resolution..and no cheating should be in it now if you have to follow the rule strictly then add another thing in it suppose you made rule that in the morning I will do Jaap and will do some practice and you didn't do then don't eat anything I don't deserve..why? I have broken my own rule see..I will give you rule....you went home you will feel what master will know whether we did or not that's what people do but when you will give rule to yourself then perhaps you will ashame yourself and should do also I won't break my rules and if I break that day what right I have to eat food so one who is determined by rule he will climb this stair of knowledge...will climb now next step... not being greedy about objects of indulgence 'vishay' objects of indulgence...sound, touch, sight, taste, smell five...we have five organs genitalia, legs, hands, mouth they are our action senses so should not do the slavery of subjects of own senses we don't get our desired food, we start to cry, start to get angry so don't keep the slavery of objects of indulgence if objects of indulgence are achieved easily...good and fine so see here it is said "Annam Brahamam" food is brahman so food come then accept it see food should be according to everyone's interest and health food should be satvik... Karmapa had come he is like friend so for him I prepared our Indian food because I had no idea what he eats in this hall program was conducted...after the program we went for the lunch so I asked him that the food that is in front of you...Is that good for you? and the truth is that for him specially I made Chinese food he said someone from Delhi, he did the arrangements I felt perhaps he likes this way so he says Karmapa says that No.1.... I am pure vegetarian I was not expecting him to be but he was and he says, "I won't eat Chinese food...the food which you eat daily or what is made here for everyone I will eat that" says, "As such I am Tibetian but I am like Brahmin, I am a total vegetarian" I asked him, "Why" because people at Tibet are not vegetarian, I asked,"why are you?" he says, "I am, because now I am in India" and it's not available in Tibet and it's available here vegetarian food, so when vegetarian is there, why should I eat other? so he said, "Now I am pure vegetarian" Great greed for objects of indulgence is human's greatest enemy and a seeker should never be slave of any subject this is your sixth step and the seventh is intense dispassion intense dispassion means whatever may happen my mind doesn't accept frivolous as essence don't run after fetish things remember and research on conscious aatma only my mind gets ignited with fire of dispassion...beautiful dispassion means neither attachment nor aversion with anybody neither there is attachment with the world nor mind has aversion with world such a mind can only come into equilibrium if we develop aversion for anybody or we get attached with somebody then our mind won't be in equilibrium and whose mind is not in equilibrium, he can't do spiritual practice mind should be in equilibrium completely and how will we practice equilibrium? By dispassion so these are the 7 steps or you say 7 stairs which helps you to reach the path of knowledge to accomplish this path of knowledge you left these seven...you can't walk on the path of knowledge if we go reverse...what was the seventh step...intense dispassion...sixth...equilibrium fifth...Niyama...fourth...Gyan...third...Camlness second..Non-violence ..first..Humility now whatever happened in these long days of shivir, you remember them or not, remember these seven and remember this that I am sitting here, you might go away stay by body but sitting here I am calling you that you need to bring these 7 attributes in your life you need to bring them and these 7 attributes came into your life discipline, sacrifice, calmness, non-violence, equilibrium, dispassion now these are the attributes which when start to increase rest of things will automatically be right and you didn't do the Niyama of the morning, don't eat food,it's good one day you will be in fasting then for body also it's healthy, it's not punishment this is good reminder to make that Niyama better and when you don't eat say a day, you won't die will you die in a day? But this will be remembered if you have to eat food, then have to remember the one who gives food you need to bring these rules, these attributes to your life then you will walk on the path of knowledge such joyfully you will walk so beautifully that neither non-violence on yourself nor on others neither slavery of the objects of indulgence nor greed neither violence nor kept the thought of enjoyment, kept the thought of sacrifice give and take is the work of the one who indulges, the work of renunciate is to give learn to give something also
