See, when you do spiritual practices with a firm resolve then from that strength of the resolve The fire of penance that will awaken inside you, all your sin get destroyed by that fire Like if someone does yajna outside, so whatever material is put in the fire of yajna, the fire destroys it 'Swaaha' meaning it is destroyed Similarly all your sins are destroyed in the fire of chanting If possible then eat only once a day I am saying if possible then one whose resolve is firm in mind and no disease in the body meaning diabetes and this or that so taking a very less diet, only consume fruit and milk, nothing else It may not be possible for everyone, but whosoever can do, do it and whoever feels it will be more, he should eat at one time eat light meal at one time no issues, even that is good and beautiful If you want, chant the full 21 rosary in one sitting and if by reason you can't sit for this long of body or any work or responsibility of house, so do it twice Sit down and do your mantra and if you do mantra jap then there should be no pause and no gap, one mantra which came in your mind Om Namah Shivay, then there should be no gap in second no pause in that, Om Namah Shivay.. Om Namah Shivay.. Like if we pour water, it falls continuously, continuously like this Mantra should keep on going and going.. Now you can do chanting in three ways First one is, which we call as 'Upanshu jap' Upanshu means When you do japa in whispering tone then it is called upanshu japa where you, in a very soft, like you are whispering something, in that tone you do your mantra so you are saying it, but it's not loud that others can hear it You speak slowly like if you are saying someone's ear so slowly whisper so slowly let out that voice that if someone sits closer to you, only then he hear that what is he doing Otherwise only your ears can hear that voice, such light voice This is called Upanshu Japa In this Japa we are speaking It's very easy to do this Japa And I can say this with 100% claim, your mind can't go anywhere because the mind will be busy in speaking So the power of that sound will keep on generating and with that power, from sound of that word the energy that comes out, that energy will take your body and mind into that circle You know when you will create a friction, some energy will be formed Like if you rub your hands in a quicker mode, then your hands will get warm Where there is friction, energy gets generated there Now join both hands, do it, everybody join your hands together and rub Keep rubbing Hands will begin to warm, happened? Nod your head in yes Keep rubbing and rubbing, Rub fast, don't rub it slowly, not like old, even old people should rub like young ones Your hands will get warm Leave it, through friction, energy is released When we rubbed two stones, fire came out Fire meaning the light has come Similarly when you do mantra, friction is generating in your vocal cords and when this friction will happen, it will give rise to energy and energy which generates from japa, this power makes your body healthy One, what will energy do? Will make the body healthy second, will set your mind; third, quenches your past sins That's why in any Puraan, any Indra, Mahindra, Varun Any god or man has made a mistake, sinned so what did they say to him? to repent, How? Say do penance, meaning what to do? means awaken the energy, energy of japa I have done darshan of Nirmalae Mahatma in my childhood They say about Nirmalae that Guru Gobind Singh Ji have made them have given saffron clothes to his five Sikhs and have sent them to Banaras So that they can read Sanskrit and Vedanta there Nyaya, Grammar, Nirukta, know all these scriptures Why did He do so? because the pandit who used to be in his court Said that Pandit, to give all the knowledge of scriptures to our fellowship He was bit hesitant, No... we give this knowledge to Brahmins and all different types of people, of different cultures used to come here, So we can't so where there is a will, there's a way So Guruji found a way and five out of them Chose 5 best and wisest disciples among his dedicated disciples and gave them saffron clothes and sent them to Kashi, You will say why saffron? Saffron because, In India's traditional and eternal Dharma Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra, these four castes Four ashram were considered, Brahmin, I say again they are from actions not by birth, one who receives knowledge, one who gives knowledge of knowledge to another One who does penance with forgiveness, mercy, contentment is a Brahmin Kshatriya who has strength in his arms meaning He has such power to protect the poor that he will die fighting but will not allow injustice to any poor Will protect the country, will stand on the border of the country You are not Kshatriya because your ancestor were kshatriya, that's why you are also kshatriya One who has strength in his arms, one who is not afraid, not even from dying I am remembering... once In Himachal We went to live in Kasauli with one of our Swami ji There is army cantt in Kasauli So wearing such a saffron color and our Mahatma is long haired So long haired and saffron color is visible from far, It's a flag Interesting talk, I will tell complete story It happened that we went out for a morning walk that we would see the sunrise, there's a point In Kasauli which is called sunrise point, will go there and see the sun So two of us were there and We had 4-5 disciples along So we all were walking, Too cold in mountains Too cold there, then I said, Swami ji In the cold, I wish for tea He said when we will go back then will take tea, I said no Now it is there now, said all the shops and markets are closed, where will the tea come from? He started laughing, how does maa talk? I said just like this So we were walking and I said such a beautiful view of mountains is visible from here the house was, the whole valley was visible in front of the house, I said, Will enjoy drinking tea here Go to their house, said doesn't go anywhere like this I said sadhu can go anywhere, Say 'narayan hari' and get the alms, sage has no shame Pujya Swami Akhandanand ji maharaj used to say this, the one who is shameless is a sage meaning who is not ashamed of the world, who doesn't need respect, they used to do this meaning of shameless What would people say? there is no thought in whom, no shame, shameless that is a sage Well we went in our fun When we returned, exactly at that same point, a man is standing outside that house and standing with folded hands, Seeing us, he came running Greeted us and said that I am a colonel Seeing the house, I said that this house is very good, from here the view will be very good Tea with view should be there, he lived in the same house and says I have a prayer, will you have tea here? I said, colonel Sahib definitely we will have, let's go So he opened the door of the house, I said we won't go inside your house, we will sit here only Put the chair outside, so he did the same Okay, we both sat and colonel went inside to call her wife I and Swami ji laughed so much, I said, now say Swami ji you were saying how so? Now see the Lord's play, he made us sit there only now when he came he said, first I was unable to recognize as there was no tilak so he was in a doubt that who are they? A sant, then it struck in the mind that she is the one whom we have been listening in the television So he said we have one more request, I said say Only tea is not nice, have a meal also I said, there is time for having a meal, You serve us tea for now, rest we'll see later said promise that today you will eat food too I and Swami ji looked one another and I said say something now not only tea or breakfast, we are getting food also and when we went after having tea The rule is, when a sant enters the house, give dakshina, service to the saint So they also made and gave envelopes now when we took envelopes, we laughed even more What now? See the Lord's play it is So when we met them again in afternoon I told that person don't think that you have invited us, the truth is We have invited ourselves and put this resolution in your mind that call us Out of pride, a man may think that we used to listen, we are devotees, we saw We have recognized and invited them in our house and even people say this 'How good is our fate , saints have come to our house' I said before any thought came to your mind, just remember, your house was chosen and out of all those beautiful houses which were there in the Cantt, this was the chosen house and see here we are with you, sitting with you Mind In which mind darkness is there The mind which has so many thoughts The mind that has attachments and aversion The mind that has fickleness, he makes thousands of wishes, not even single wish gets fulfilled. and the mind in which this darkness is not there If some spontaneously thought came in that mind even that too gets fulfilled so in our Nirmalae Saints Saffron clothes are there One mahatma was there in those saints He lived in Amritsar, Just behind the Darbar Sahib Baaghwali street used to be there, this was before the corridor was built Now the whole garden is there So his dera was there only When he used to sit for his chanting jap or practice in the morning His disciples told me that almost 500 grams butter butter he used to keep that on his head then he used to sit for his Jap, now you will say why he used to do this? because their Jap is not like of twenty or thirty mala... and then get up His chanting lasted for 8 hours, 8 hours in a day and he used to chant Mool Mantra From where the bani starts of 'Ad Sri Guru Granth Sahib' Ik onkar satnam kartapurakh nirbhau nirvair akaal murat, ajuni sabhan, Gurparsad This mool mantra, he used to chant this mantra Now this mantra is so powerful, because he used to do this for so long so much fire used to get produced in his body that to save oneself from any evil effect of that fire he keep that butter on his head, and after two and a half or three hours when he opened eyes and left his mala, not even a drop of that butter was found dripping down, that complete butter used to absorb in his head When the body will have so much fire, and the body will not be able to bear that fire So this sant used to keep on his head like this See Mahatma's say to bathe head, In Punjabi, it's said, to sit after doing 'Kesi ishnan' why? why to sit after kesi ishnan? Mahatma's who live in Rishikesh, Banks of Ganga, Uttarkashi or in Gangotari They bath with water early morning no matter how cold it is Because when we keep cold water on our head then our head It's temperature gets low and Jap which we have to do afterwards, so much temperature will rise in that the body does not get into any other trouble due to that heat and keep the body healthy that's why It is not necessary, See every Mahatma have their own body, their own way or technique, but this was his way Since he used to wear a turban, he took a piece of butter and sat down It get absorbed all inside Now can you imagine how much power will be in the words of such a great man and he was the sant who remembered the whole of the Adi Guru Granth Sahib, 1430 pages Full 1430 pages and he knew them by heart
