[Music] canada this is first time i have done manta anustan it has been a week i felt i'm just reciting the mantra with no feeling just to finish the count of mala it doesn't feel right please guide you chose a brazpatis mantra it seems that you are very much in contact with some astrologer or somebody must have suggested to you to do the braspati mantra but i think so when my suggestion is that when i talk about doing a mantra stand and i'm not talking about doing some navagraha mantra mane som buddha mangal shukra shani i am not talking about the navagraha mantras to be done the mantra anustan should be always done for whatever your east chosen deity is it can be either shiva or it can be the vishnu or or maybe it can be of durga that's all fine or you can choose the gayatri or you can choose just your guru mantra whatever so idea is not to take a navagraha mantra but to choose an exact correct mantra now if you have a ishta if you have a chosen deity obviously then you will have some bhav for that deity or if you do the guru mantra then your love and devotion for the guru is there so every time you do the mantra the guru's face beaming is there guru's grace is their gurus blessings are there and with all these emotions when you do the mantra then it won't be just a wagging of the tongue or the recitation being done verbally but it will be a much more deeper and a better experience can be had i would suggest that please change your mantra and there is a long list of the mantras which i have done there the musical done numbers if you check then in the varsa app there is a list of the mantras which i have done you can please select one of the mantras from there and maybe put that track on and do it with that track and i really hope that you will have a much better experience it shouldn't be boring and it shouldn't be powerless it should be with the bow not without otherwise what's the fun doing it and it's a great fun to do a mantra in ah there is the this question coming from mandeep it's about one of the verse from siri guru granth sahib page 152 s question is that can you please give more details on how we originate from one mind number one in uh one unit or a single unit it is the mind but this in its macro format is called the maya so in a way we can say that the micro is the mind and mind in a macro format becomes maya so in a way mind and maya is one and the same thing all the five elements came out of the mind and this is what the barney of ad siri guru granth sahib is also talking about mind is the source or should i say the maya is the source from where the five elements took its manifestation hence the line is [Music] everything is born out of the mind and will merge back into the mind easy it comes and easy it goes but a one person who is a guru mukta who is a guru muk the one who has understood the brahma vidya is the person who has received the true message of the guru is the person who is now learned and wise and is also we can call enlightened now this person understands that i am the liberated one and i was never in any bondage being in bondage was because of the maya because of the ignorance and when this darkness is removed then one becomes number one a gurmukh and then this gurmukh finds out that i was always liberated and i the true self can never ever be in any bondage hence this is the meaning of this beautiful verse and it is a very nice example of how the vedanta philosophy is interspersed in ad siri guru granth sahib but if the in the lack of education people don't understand these lines they might just read it and forget it but actually it is the most poetic and the most beautiful expression of vedanta and we'll go ahead there's another line it says can you please elaborate on the three of us it's a very very deep and you really really need to pay attention to what i'm going to speak now janam marey tragon hit car there are three gunas satwaguna rajoguna and tamaguna and this is now the further i would say explanation of what maya is now the maya is in which these three the trio gunas are functioning they are like working like a juxtap juxtaposed in between one another and they are in sync with one another so satwa guna tamagun and rajagun these three gunas are working together and what it is doing is janama mare the birth is happening in trigona the death is happening in triguna and this births and deaths are happening because of the functioning of this or the maya all the four vedas are talking about this fundamental principle of maya and that how this maya has created or should i say because of the maya these three gunas have manifested and because of these three gunas the name form world has come into the existence the nama is the form nothing in this world is without a form and every form has a name and this name form has been made by the three gunas and these three gunas are maya and this is the fact guru sahib is saying this is the fact which is stated by the four vedas now what does way the word mean veda comes from the sanskrit word root word is with with means to know now if you wish to know then vedas are giving us the answer so what is ved where is the ocean of knowledge and since time immemorial this vedic knowledge has been decimated by various rishis various stages various mahatmas various gurus from time to time you know we have this great line of of we have the 10 gurus in the sikh religion and we have so many santa mahatma the 16 bhaktas who are mentioned in ad siri guru granth sahib there are 16 bhaktas and these great bhaktas or the great devouts are from sant kabir sahib to santra sahib to jaydev santrelochen bhagat hanaji bhagatnam dev ji baba shekhari the list goes on and on so all together 16 bhaktas are there six gurus versus six gurus bani is there in answeri guru gansai and this is what i always always applaud and that this one great scripture is a perfect example that the truths can have so many expressions namdev j is from maharashtra dhanna bhagat from rajasthan jaidev ji from bengal sant kabhi sab radhas and swami ramanan is from uttar pradesh baba sheikh fareed from this united punjab the six gurus were except the tenth guru was born in patnasai rest most of the gurus were were born in in punjab itself so all the gurus all the devouts all the saints they have been talking about this one principle what is that principle that there are three stages one jagrat waking swapna dream state sushupti the deep sleep so the three states are explained in the vedas or any knowledge which is being given by any enlightened one so this knowledge is coming to us which is explaining what the guna maya is what rajo thomas is what waking state dream state and the deep sleep state jagras is and then what is the fourth state which is called turiya avastha now all of us all of us even the animals and the birds if you look they wake they sleep they dream and they go into deep sleep these three stages are experienced by everybody you don't need any anyone to guide you into how to sleep or how to wake up that's going to happen naturally so jagrat swapna sushuptas three stages are experienced by one and all sentient beings but then there is a fourth state which is called that can be only experienced when you uh go into the zone of atman when you go into the zone of nirvikalpa samadhi only then you can experience this fourth state called turiya and to experience this obviously you need a guide you need someone who tells you what to do how to do what kind of sadness you should do and then when you follow it and when you practice it then in time in time then the deeper meditations are experienced and slowly the mind will move into the nirvikarita nirvicharita meaning thoughtlessness and being pure and and then this fourth stage of turiya can be experienced it's not just by reading you will come to know what turiya is and for turiya we definitely need to follow the path of sadhana it's not just about reading the text but it's all about going deep into it and diving into the truth of this fourth stage called turiya avastha there is another line which mandeep parmar wishes that i should explain this is again coming from ad sir guglien 163 and the verses now the first line is is absolutely very very clear that i received that higher knowledge from the guru and i contemplated on the tatwa on the the the substratum principle the truth my mind mata malin my mind was impure but japan murara but when i started meditating on murara it's one of the name of sri krishna murari and there's a poetic way of speaking when we say murara so when i meditated on the name of murari of god of parabrahma my mind became more pure and then siv sakat mittaya chuka andhiara now uh usually in the sankhya philosophy there is uh understood to be the existence of two one is shiva and the another is a shakti or the typical word in sankhya is the purusa and prakruti it says that this whole universe is amalgamation it has come into being because of the shiva and the shakti shakti means the maya another name of it or prakrti and another name of it so don't be too confused because guru granth sahib's verses are are not that even simpler it needs you to understand the quran it requires you to understand the sikhs darshan and the khatta darshan the sixth darshanas of india which are accepted so if you don't know what those six darshanas or the six philosophies are you can not actually grasp what the bani is intending to say it's it goes into very very deep so the shiva and the shakthi or the purusa and the prakruti or easier language god and the universe now these are two the duality is accepted but when that real knowledge will turn upon you then this difference or distinctive uniquely uh two existences which were accepted of shiva and shakti of purusha and prakruti this dissolves now this dissolves when chu kandiara when the darkness is lifted now it's not telling you what will come after that but it is talking about when this whale of darkness will be lifted and then this division or this duality of shiva and shakti will also dissolve meaning will be removed now it doesn't means that shiva will be removed it doesn't means that shakti that durga will be removed it has much deeper meaning to it normally people consider that god made the universe some says bhagwan dunya banay so we have bhagwan and we have dunya two entities we have god we have universe we have two entities but what is the truth brahma vidya says that there is only existence of one omniscient existence and rest all is just an illusionary manifestation again this one particular verse is a perfect example of vedanta philosophy is right there in ad siri guru granth sahib you just have to you know learn it from a learned one you have to understand the words and the verses and the meanings of it and once you grasp it all uh it's such a joyful such a joyful such a ananda to experience that this very terse very arduous very difficult vedanta philosophy has been so beautifully poetically projected in the guru granth sahib and i really hope and wish that more and more people can you know learn how to read learn how to do the part it's it's not just reading alone it's all about grasping it it's all about understanding it and it's all about knowing it what it actually means and the beauty of guru granth sahib can be you know multi-fold greater for us only if we can understand uh these deeper verses which usually people find it really really difficult so coming back to your words which you have said actually when when i read this satgurta gyanpaya to bichara i really wish to you know go more more deeper into it and take the more but as as what i can see is this is a very long one and it will take quite a time actually to understand what it actually means so we'll just limit ourselves to what the question was so i have talked about the teen avastha i have talked about the uh maya the tray gun vista vista and i also i am talking about that the the guru is saying that if you will contemplate upon that omniscient existence then all the duality will just merge and it will just go away and it will just dissolve and what will be left in the remainder would be a perfect equipoise of the mind a total you know enlightened intellect pragya and i believe that's what the goal of the human life is to experience this greatness which is right there within us and we don't remain just a humble body you know bag of this flesh and bones and not go deeper into it what is there beneath this body layer mind layer intellect layer ego layer who is the one who is existing here so that is the meaning of this lines which mandeep ji has very
