"He accepted you" "But the question arises" "That whose skulls are around Mahadev's neck" "Which he always keeps next to his heart" "You are sitting here so whose skulls are these?" "Have you ever thought about it or asked Him?" She said, "Yes, I have never thought about it" Now what does Dev Rishi Narad do? Common, stupid, idiot, ignorant people... Who don't understand properly will say that Dev Rishi Narad stirs controversy This is absolutely untrue, this is disgraceful Our Dev Rishi Narad is a great tapasvi (one who does strict austerities) He is a great renunciate He is born from Brahma's mind To say or even think such a disgraceful thing about this great Rishi is a sin So, understand this and know this... "Your mind stays in bliss and peace with such ease" "You are a symbol of strength and devotion" "Why does your mind appear so anxious today?" So she said," Lord, I have a doubt, there is a question I want to ask" He said, "Devi! Ask your question" Keep in mind that Sati is His wife And Sati is also His devotee And being a devotee, if you can't ask your Lord a question then where else can you ask? He said, "Ask" She said, "LOrd! Please tell me whose skulls are these around your neck?" "Who are these?" "Please shed some light on this" Lord smiled lightly and said, "You never asked this question before so why today?" She said, "Just like that, Dev Rishi Narad had come" Lord smiled even more He understood that today Devi Sati's fortune will change That's why she has received the blessings of Dev Rishi Narad Asking a question, in itself is a very difficult task One whose mind is not contemplative and one who doesn't reflect One who lacks the ability to think No questions arise in his mind Remember One who is established in Brahman, one who is a great Yogi - there are no questions in his mind And one who is a big idiot, there are no questions in his mind either Now, when Devi asked the question Then Lord said, "Look..." "Devi, this is none other but in your several previous births whenever your body died, I saved your skulls with love" "These skulls don't belong to anyone else, these are yours!" "As much as you love me, I love you the same" "Your body would die and turn into ashes on the funeral pyre" "But before your skull would be destroyed, I would take them out" "I would take it out of the fire of your funeral pyre" "And I would keep that skull next to my heart" So many tears started flowing out of Sati's eyes That the flow of Ganga would be small compared to that She cries so much...she cries a lot and places her forehead on Lord's feet That "O Lord! You shower so much grace on me, you love me so much!" "I feel so fortunate" A lot of time passed crying Then another question arose in her mind She said, "Lord! If you allow, can I ask another question" Lord said, "Ask" She said, "How come that I kept dying, I got a body and then it died, I was born and I die" "You save my skulls" "You wear those skulls around your neck...I understand" "But how come you are the same and I keep getting a birth and dying?" "If I have been your wife, your love, devotee then I am not able to understand this" "I took birth and I died - my skulls are around your neck" "And you are exactly the same, how come?" Lord then said, "Devi, because the immortality that you haven't attained yet..." "After attaining that immortality, you will be in the same state" She said, "Then I want to attain that, please shower this grace on me now" Lord said, "Fine, I will give your this knowledge of immortality" "But I can't impart it here, I need to find another suitable place" She asked, "Where?" Lord said, "Devi, don't doubt" She said, "The doubt is already there" Sri Krishna says in Gita - 'sanshay atma vinashyati' Doubt destroys the mind A doubt arose in Devi's mind and says - "No, no, no..." "Now, I will have to test him" "Take an appropriate test Devi, it shouldn't be inappropriate" Devi goes And With help of maya (illusion), she turns her body into Mother Sita's body Entire form of Mother Sita And the path on which Ram is calling out Sita's name, Devi stands on that same path Now imagine The one you are looking for, one you are crying for That person comes right in front of you, what would you feel? Goswami Ji says that she calls out that "May this earth break open and I go into it" "This moment that has happened, may it somehow end, may it pass - what should I do?" So, the entire relationship changed He said, "Not wife but now you should take the place of a mother" One who she pleased with strict austerities Attained him with great difficulty Now he had renounced her So, she sat down at his feet and cries with repentance But now the event had already taken place That's why, Mahatmas and Rishis have said that think a thousand times before doing anything Even if Sati does an action without thinking, she has to bear the punishment for it Shankar renounced her He renounced her as his wife Let's take this incident little further Lot of Devatas were travelling in their airplanes Sati sees that "Where are you going?" They said, "Daksh has arranged a yagya and we are all invited" She said, "Wow, there is a yagya at my father's place and he didn't invite me" "We will also go" She goes and says to Shankar Ji, "We will also go, let's go" He said, "No we won't go, he didn't invite us" "Don't go without an invitation" She said, "You may not go but I will go" Wife Woman When she becomes stubborn then no one can stop her, no one can reason with her So, she went She went forcefully She went alone She goes to Daksh and Prajapati Daksh insults her a lot, a lot He insulted Sati as well as Lord Shankar That "How can we invite him who smears his body with ash, lives on cremation grounds to our pious yagya?" "So, why have you even come here?" "You are dead to me, why have you come here?" On hearing all these insults, Sati said, "Look..." "This is my misfortune that you are my father" "And this body is born through you" "And I end this misfortune right here and now" "One who insults my Shankar" "Being the wife....being a daughter of such a person, I cannot fulfill this duty" "And that's why" "I will destroy this body that is born through you right here" "Because now this body..." Let's go back a little Shankar Ji has already renounced her, she doesn't have the relationship as his wife And here such situation got created that at that time Devi destroyed her body with Yogic-fire Keep in mind, with Yogic fire she turned her body into ashes And she jumps into that Yagya fire
