This Shiva-form of yours If you realize this form Then if the body lives, you are free If the body dies, you are free If the body is filled with prana (life force), you are free If the dead body burns right here in Manikarnika ghat Whichever village, city, country, foreign land - England, USA, even if the body is burnt there If you understand the Upanishads and Vedanta knowledge with conviction Then whether you are in Los Angeles, Washington, Toronto, England, Africa or America You might be living anywhere or in Bharat, in a village Or in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Gujarat or Maharashtra If you realize this once that I am not the body, senses, mind and intellect I am separate from the body, senses, mind and intellect Separate from these, I am Atman And this Atman in Shiva And to know this Atman - Shiva with conviction Then this body is Shiva, this mind is Shiva Then this entire world is Shiva This is the highest experience of spiritual knowledge To reach this highest experience We must start the journey from where we are currently sitting Right now you consider the body as 'I' The entire time you want sensual pleasures Eye wants to see something, ears want to hear something, tongue wants to eat You want to do something with your hands And if you have a mustache, you want to twirl it and say, "I, I, I..." This is something to think about If a man becomes MLA or MP in a big place Then he twirls his mustache He twirls his mustache A woman... Can twirl her ponytail So, he twirls his mustache thumps his chest and says, "It's me..." "I am everything....I am everything" Like I said the other day If you are egoistic about any object of this world That ego Will kill you It will destroy your life Always remember this What you are egoistic about will not stay forever The strength you are proud of will not stay forever That's why all this that is the 'other' In Sanskrit, we believe in two things - two entities One is 'aham' and other is 'idam' 'Aham' means I and 'idam' means everything else which is different from me All 'idam' (the other) is untrue, inert and cause of suffering And this 'aham' has the form of Satchitananda (Ever-Truth, Ever-Conscious, Ever-Bliss) Body is 'idam' World is 'idam' Your house, shop, sky, earth - all that you see this moveable and immovable world is 'idam' (the other) All this is untrue, inert, cause of suffering and limited by time and space But this 'aham' (I) This 'aham' has the form of Satchitananda (Ever-Truth, Ever-Conscious, Ever-Bliss) Like I just talked about Goswami Ji He says - "jai sat chit ananda jag paavan aske chale manoj nasavan, aske chale manoj nasavan" That although you are the Ever-Blissful Brahman But just as a play Manoj means as a play, just for a game, just for the sake of playing You have taken the form of Ram and you are crying because your wife is lost What game are you playing? That's why - "jai sat chit ananda jag paavan" - One who makes the world pure "aske chale manoj nasavan, aske chale manoj nasavan" - Just as a game, a play, for fun - what game are you playing! Now, one who thinks that this game is real and holds on to it - he will cry a lot Because what you have today, might not be there tomorrow This raft is decorated with such beautiful flowers OK, right now I came from Namo ghat Like I was ordered - get on the raft at Namo ghat I did that Now, I was the only one on the raft And I was thinking - how did we come to the world? Alone Now all the people are leaving - how? These that are being burned on Manikarnika They came alone and they are leaving alone I thought I am alone even in the boat I am going to have darshan of Baba, I am going to meet Baba's devotees But I was all alone on the entire boat Then I looked around Then how am I alone? Aha... Mother Ganga beneath the body Sky above the head In the sky, in the form of (??) is Brahman And Brahman is also in the form of Ganga Whether you say Brahman, Parabrahman or Shiva - it's the same thing So how come? But from the point of view of body, I am alone But truth is The joy I felt sitting alone today, I can't even explain! I can't even go anywhere Why? Because wherever I go... And all of you crazy people came here! Where did all you crazy people come from? And all these crazy people Then wherever I go, I meet more crazy people So I thought what to do now? So my Shankar said, "Don't worry, I will give you joy" So during the early morning today I got this absolute silence and aloneness And I looked at Ganga and the banks I saw the flying birds Har Har Mahadev! Ahh... If you hold on to the world, you will have to cry This is it's nature Look, if you go to a vegetable shop - what will you get? If you go to a clothes shop - what will you get? Say it Clothes If you go to a gold or silver shop - it has become very expensive now! If you go to a gold or silver shop - what will you get? So, in the shop of world there is only untruth, inertness and suffering That's why If you go in the world's shop, what will you get? This untruth, inertness and suffering Untrue means something exists today but not tomorrow Where did your childhood go? Tell me Where did you lock it and come here? Childhood is gone Youth came Now, some people's youth is gone They keep looking for it - they eat Shilajit and Chayavanprash So that their youth comes back But those who sell Shilijat become wealthy But you don't become young again Youth came and then it was gone Whatever comes, goes That which comes and goes is Maya (illusion) That which comes and goes is untrue, inert and cause of suffering 'Idam' world What does Adi Shankaracharya say? Adi Shankar says - "You are not the body, senses, mind or intellect" "You are not the 'idan' world" "You are not the world" "You are Shiva" That's why To realize your form which is Shiva chidananda rupah shivoham shivoham (I am the Ever-Conscious, Ever-bliss, I am Shiva) See when you come to Kashi Then in Kashi...that morning when I went somewhere I met a very cute, plump Brahmin Devata I saw his beautiful body He saw me and said, "Mahadev"; I said, "Mahadev" "For me, you are Mahadev" Very plump, very fair Very cute He had applied a beautiful tripunda (3 horizontal lines on forehead) This fair Prabhu ji came and said, "Mahadev!" I said, "Mahadev!" I am telling you another thing today In Kashi, say - "Har Har Mahadev" If you live in Kashi, say - "Har Har Mahadev" But don't forget The knowledge given by Mahadev The offering of Brahman-knowledge given by Mahadev Which through Rishis, through the tradition of Rishis Through the medium of Vedas Through the medium of Upanishads has reached us And All of us are indebted To Adi Bhagwan Shakaracharya With whose grace He developed this beautiful form of Vedanta knowledge for us That's why Umm.. All of you have had darshan that in this Kashi Vishwanath temple There is a magnificient idol of Adi Shakaracharya too And this is the same Adi Shankar who gave us this stotra which is called Nirvana Shatakam In Rishi Chaitanya Ashram, we sing the glory of Guru in the morning aarti And all those shlokas are also given by Shankar And in the evening, when we do the chanting and kirtan of Nirvana Shatakam And this is also created by Adi Shankar So, the Adi Shankar with whose Grace this tradition of knowledge has reached us We bow down to the holy feet of Sri Adi Shankaracharya Bhagwan And you had his darshan in the temple as well And of Mother Ahilyabai Holkar With folded hands, bow down to that Mother Aliyabhai Holkar That great Devi, that great Sati....aha! The work that has been done by this magnificent woman, this embodiment of strength - who could even think about that? This is her grace That she got this temple form constructed And in the present time in which we are living, we are indebted I will say it again Our dear Modi Ji with whose grace, with whose cooperation and determination This magnificent, beautiful temple form is constructed The land of Bharat is blessed Fold both hands and bow down to this land of Bharat Touch mother earth and bow down We are fortunate That we are born in this country This body is made of the same soil where Adi Shankaracharya walked This body is made of that soil where at some point Mahadev had stepped foot And with whose grace This land of Bharat has that strength... And the entire world is looking at the strength and power today What can I tell you I have a disciple who is a big secretary of the Pharmaceutical Association of Bharat He was telling me that during covid when the world was dying During that time Our country, this Bharat and our great Prime Minister Sent the vaccine made in our country to 195 countries And in that half the countries got it free Gave it for free to Nepal Gave it for free to Bangladesh, to Maldives I don't have all the numbers but It was given for free to more than 100 countries Because we are those people who see our Lord in every human The principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The entire world is one family) We live that principle And an obvious proof of that was given by our country during this pandemic The offering of our country to the entire world Was that of knowledge Was that of astrology Was that of scriptures Was that of Nyaya-Nirudh, grammar and Vedanta Was that of ayurveda You will be surprised to know In Russia, the government gives you time off and money And in the Ayurvedic hospitals there Government says - Go and stay there for 21 days When you come back healthy, you will work more efficiently The government pays And they have opened Ayurvedic hospitals there In South America, America and Europe - especially in Spain and Germany Entire departments have been opened for teaching and learning Sanskrit When I travel When I meet people And I hear the same thing everywhere They say, "Are you from Bharat?" "This is what we learned from Bharat" "This is what we know from Bharat" So, Bharat teaches the world how to live Bharat gives the world the light of knowledge Bharat also teaches the determination to serve others And the rule of worshiping your Guru considering him the Parabrahman (Absolute Reality) It exists in this country You will not find this anywhere else I have travelled the entire world Nowhere in the world, not in any country people call their country the Mother And they don't worship their rivers as Mother Ganga When these foreigners come here and they see the incense sticks burning and prayers happening on the banks Flowers and lamps being offered, aarti happening They are surprised They think it's just a river But Ganga is not just a river Ganga is a lifeline Ganga is the mother of this country Giving life force and strength to this country Someone was asking me yesterday "What is there in this holy place?" "What is it? We feel so much vibration and energy" "Where is this energy coming from?" I said, "That's why I say this again and again that go to holy places" "Go to the 12 Jyotirlingas" "Go to the banks of Narmada, Ganga, Sindhu and Cauvery" Umm...I have taken the name of Sindhu and it will be slightly difficult But today that I am sitting here, I don't know why this thought has come But we will also take you to the holy banks of Sindhu river And we will organize a satsang there Kashmir is the region of our Rishi Kashyap - remember that Kashmir derived it's name from Kashyap So, we are arrange a satsang in Rishi Kashyap's region Kashmir too Start from Kanyakumari Right before covid, there was a satsang in Rameshwaram Many of you were there So, it happened in Rameshwaram And nearly in the center-north, it has now happened in Varanasi Ahh...technically speaking, it becomes a big problem I think we should go there and there! But what do they say - "Ishwara is everywhere, wherever I look there is Ishwara" There are many holy places everywhere but Fortunate are those who have darshan of a holy place They fill themselves with energy using the energy of the holy place And you should conserve this energy with you Remember this Until you are here - "Har Har Mahadev" and within yourself never forget the Vedanta knowledge Shivoham (I am Shiva) Shiva Kevaloham (I am nothing but Shiva) Always remember this This body Belongs to Ishwara Life belongs to Ishwara I belong to Ishwara, you belong to Ishwara And with the grace of Ishwara This time, this time that is passing...Ahh!! What can I say? In Punjabi they sing Half of you here are Punjabi are the rest understand Everyone has become knowledgable Mothers in Punjab sing this Mothers in Punjab sing this and you sing along with me They say May this moment come everyday May it come everyday May this moment come everyday May it come everyday May it bring me to your doorstep May this moment come everyday
