It is said when one wakes up in the morning, he should bow to his mother, father bow to the teacher when go to school Now all the schools have started saying good morning and if good morning also seems difficult then just hello Hi is left But the dignity and tradition of this country was that you even touch your teacher's feet Meaning bowing down in front of mother, father and teacher in front of grandparents If someone is older in the neighborhood, then in front of him too In front of Brahmin, Sadhu, Sant who came in the house Even in front of Gurudev also If you go to the temple, then in front of Lord Bowing down everywhere, bow down bowing is the mantra, bow down.. bow down.. bow down ...bow down Why bow down? Because even while paying salutations, our mind gets purified We don't know this We think it is part of etiquettes That Bow down when Guruji comes but you don't know that when you bow down to Guru Even in that pranaam your mind is getting purified so you are not paying respect to the Guru, actually even in this you are getting some benefit You are benefiting in that Bharat is the only country where we are asked to bow down in front of the sages and sants of old times It's even said to bow down to holy basil plant If it's Peepal tree, do pranaam Bow down even if you go to Ganges, Yamuna If you see a temple, bow down If you go to Himalaya, bow down even after seeing the peak of Kedar Why? It is understood if you bow down in front of Guru, he will bless us Bowing down in front of a teacher, Sant or Mahatma, we understand that they will bless us Now you are bowing down to the mountain or a tree You are bowing down to a river You are bowing down to an idol and bowing down to the idol of a sage who has passed away When you go to Kedar then there when you bow down after seeing the peak of Kedar, then it is not speaking anything that 'Ayushman Bhava' 'yashasvi bhav', the mountain is not speaking anything and can't even speak When you bow down to Ganges, then mother Ganges is not coming from inside to outside even then it is said to bow down because there's a secret behind it too One, Your pride needs to be mellowed down, So on whatever excuse you get to bow down, they say keep bowing Second When we do Pranam, and to whom we bow down We get their energy as an offering Understand this way... like this is a flower, if this flower is on tree You go near to that tree and if you lean towards the flower, what will you get? Fragrance At the time of bowing you have to say that Oh flower, give me some fragrance ? You are bowed down Rose flower is below in the plant; You have bowed down When you bow, you get fragrance from the flowers So we'll say fragrance is the offering of a flower When you bow down in front of a Master Then through the Guru, you get the Guru's energy as an offering Like you haven't said to the flower to give fragrance In the same way, there is no need to say to Guru to give blessings When you do pranaam and bow down and their blessings flow to you This is a rule When gravity works then in that everything flows from top to bottom Where will the water flow? towards the bottom If you want to bring the water up, you need a motor But if you want to bring the water down then no motor is required So when you go down in front of a Sadguru then Guru's energy will flow towards you the energy is going to travel to you that is why one bow down with emotion, with love so bowing in itself not only purifies your mind but gives you a feeling of great deep satisfaction and joy This is reason.... like someone asked When you see Gurudev, when to bow down? bow as many times as you see it will be like this, that when we can taste the joy? What would you want ? to take sometimes or everytime so when you bow down You receive and those who don't bow down they loses that's why the joy of bowing down... More so.. In the Bani of Guru Nanak and Kabir Sahib, we found it Bow down to Sant, Mahatma, Sage, Master this is already there, more so they say even when you meet a devotee more so when you meet any disciple of your Master It is said, to bow them to them alwell Why to bow him? He is like us What do you know? how much his penance is more than yours What do you know? How much is the depth of his meditation One of my old disciple From many reasons, he is unable to come in anand utsav like you have came here householder, have responsibilities but while talking to someone someone means while interacting with a Doctor- with our Acupuncturist because it is the protocol of Vaidya or Acupuncturist that they ask how is your sleep; Does it open at night? because if you are waking in between 1 to 3'o clock then which part of the body which is telling Due to which sleep is disturbed if opens up between 3 or 5'o clock or in between 12 to 2'o clock In Acupuncture, it is diagnosed that due to which organ this problem is coming, meaning sleep cycle is getting disturbed So they asked Does you sleep gets disturbed in between 1 and 3 o'clock? because it was apparent that their liver channel is not working fine so she said that I wake up at 2'o clock from so many years I do my practice at 2'o clock and go back to sleep at 4'o clock Her husband is not aware of this practice neither to her sons nor to her daughter-in-laws because she is working like a housewife in day time Handling home, children, grand children but at night waking at 2:30 AM chanting the name of Lord and meditating then goes back to sleep at 4 o'clock So what would the husband think that the wife got up at 6 o'clock But he doesn't know when she woke up in the middle and when did she do her practice; So she's a simple housewife You would say she's a normal homemaker- what's so special about it? If you don't know what is special about her that doesn't mean that she is not special If she does not wear a long chola like a monk, it does not mean that she does not have saintliness so it is said that even if you meet disciples of your master, bow down What do you know, how accomplished they are I'm saying it again- when you are bowing, You are receiving their energy because energy travels from high to low Like water flows from up to down Similarly this energy Those who are better than us in sadhna, in chanting, in penance In Yogic practices, swadhyay, living a better life So what do you know, what's going on inside Now this point also comes that suppose if he doesn't do anything then So will we not harm ourselves by bowing, no, not even then because bowing in itself is energy giver when you bow down, your spine bends and in practice of Yogasans Pujya Swami Buaji used to say that at least hundred times the spine should bend forward and backward A 100 times! now suppose if you don't do Asanas or do less but you bend 50 times in a day Put head on the ground 50 times again stand straight 50 times So has it not become the science of strengthening the spine in itself? Your spine becomes flexible Your spine becomes powerful A man is as strong as his spine so the question is not that person in front of me is sant or sinner the question doesn't even remain that is he a great devotee or not but when I bow down with feeling My mind gets purified and my body benefits too So take this along like a mantra with you and keep bowing as much as you can- the joy of bowing The sadhna of bowing the purification of the mind that which makes the body strong you take all these benefits then this is highly beneficial to you Listens to the sound of Om got recluse by listening Listen to the sound of Om music For many days we wandered; don't know the way to the Hari Now I have understood something about path that leads to the Hari Listens to the sound of Om
