She, never from her mind, got tied in marriage. People have the lust for money in their mind. position, power, name... And Meera had all this. Right from birth. Girls have this desire that with a handsome rich, powerful man she gets married. Not necessary that desire gets fulfilled. But, for Meera, without a desire, this desire got fulfilled. A very handsome, very strong, very great Kshatriya warrior, A Rana... the prince of Chittor, With him, got married too. So, actually, her whole life is like a fairy tale. She's a princess. She's married to a prince. & she becomes a queen. But, in her heart, For her, that palace and the jewelry and the servants and the treasures and everything, conjoined to the... richness was of no use to her. because her mind was set on just one thing, and that was pure devotion. Bhakti. and the one's whose mind is devoted, they would feel bliss from that only That one's bliss then isn't far away or outside of mind. Meera's mother then Meera's sister-in-law, then Meera's in-laws, all tried a lot, that her mind gets engaged in the world. It didn't. People's mind can't let go worldliness, Meera's couldn't get attached... In the war, Meera's brother, got killed. It was Akbar's rule and Kshatriyas Rajpootas' had a war, in which, Meera's brother got killed. Now she loved her brother dearly. But, when marriage happened, she went to another home. Coming here, she gets the news, that her brother has died. Then, she silenced for a while. Became silent. But, she didn't weep dramatically. Meera's sister-in-law Uda Bai, and all other ladies said, that how insensitive she is! Her brother has died and she doesn't cry! She has no grief. and Udha always used to taunt her that my brother has mistakenly married a ascetic. She wasn't capable of being a queen. and may my brother leave her, it would be good then. Meera stayed quiet, listening to all this... But, she never cried Nor did she get upset that why do they say such words to me? As the one in whose mind, love is there... and bear in mind, for her... Krishna is not an idol, Krishna isn't just a picture! Like you see and talk to each other, Meera's mind got so focused, that in that focus, Krishna for her, went much beyond a mere feeling... You see such things that haven't ever visited, ever partaken, but still your mind forms a dream... In pure focus, at times, it's possible that the one you love, that may be the Guru, or that's a revered Lord, They would manifest just like, as if it's really present there. Modern psychiatry, has said, that Meera went through hallucinations. So, it was a mental illness. & these are those people who don't know this, that what's the depth of love & those who also don't know that in Yoga, if through Tratak, someone, increases his power to conceptualize, the, with open eyes, he has the potential to make entire creation. It's pretty sad of Western psychiatry, that they haven't been fortunate enough that they... Meera or Chaitnya Mahaprabhu like great men, great women, they could see or understand, they have just seen patients who get hallucinations and things are seen & they are screaming... and they're crying. Many people said, "Meera kept crying, surely she had depression! Meera saw Krishna, it's a mental illness. and the mind has this strength & power to create, anything... And that creation Yes, will be a figment of the mind, but, then, mind is no different from Maya. So, when this world made from Maya could appear real to you, then, why won't Krishna made from the same mind appear to be real? That will also seem real. It's a matter of feelings, But, Meera had scaled such high levels of sentiments, that for her, these living humans, appeared not like humans, but a mere forms and the Krishna, who is dwelling in her mind, He appears real to her. So, she plays just with Him, she talks to Him, she persuades Him alone, she loves Him alone. and Rana couldn't understand a person's mind How... could be in love with someone they've never seen. Meera hasn't seen Krishna. So, why is Meera getting mad for him, whom she hasn't even seen?
