Sant Kabir ji says — Avadhoo Chaal Chale So Pyara— a boundless One who walks upon this path of Ultimate Truth, he is my beloved Nisdin Naam Hriday Hi Sumire— Because everyday, he is all the time focusing on the Formless Absolute Truth Kabhoon Na Toote Taara— His concentration of mind, his focus of attention never changes Avadhoo Chaal Chale So Pyara- Avadhoo, the Boundaryless One, who walks on this path; he is my beloved Sapne Naam Na Bhule Kabhoon- Not even in his dreams he forgets the Glory/Naam of the Lord Palak Palak Vrat Dhara- Every moment of his life he is attuned to this beautiful yogic path of remembrance Avadhoo Chaal Chale So Pyara- I respect and love the boundary-less One who walks on this path; he is my beloved Sab Sadhan Mil Ek Hoi Rakhe— All the means/mediums and methodologies of the spiritual path are only for one thing Hilmil Gyan Uchara— so we can achieve the ultimate wisdom in our life Avadhoo Chaal Chale So Pyara— Avadhoo, the Boundaryless One is dear to me, who walks on this path Kahe Kabir Suno Bhai Sadho— Sant Kabir says listen and Sadho— perfect your spiritual practices Raam Naam Greh Taara— Seek the One who is within you, who is the Absolute Truth Chaal Chale So Pyara- He who walks on this path is my loved one) Avadhoo Chaal Chale So Pyara- Avadhoo, the Boundaryless One, who walks on this path; he is my beloved) The meaning derived is that, if we want to be dear to some Sant-Mahatma then to be loved, we should not try to build relations based on material goods and wealth. If you feel that one can build good relation by giving money One who can be bought by money, he is not a Mahatma One who bows before the effulgence of money, he is also not a Mahatma And one who makes disciples for money, he is also not a Mahatma If one wants to develop a loving relationship with a Mahatma, then there is only one way And that is Go deep in meditation Be a good meditator Be a good meditator in remembrance of the Lord Be a good worshiper The One who has devotion and is deep into the spiritual practices He becomes dear to the Sant, without doing anything He becomes dear. Nishdin Naam Bidehi Sumire One very great problem that people usually bring to me is that They say, "We want to meditate but are unable to do it. We want to focus our mind but it doesn't happen." It doesn't focus Okay, when you say that your mind can't concentrate In front of you— it is a bit difficult nowadays, but still 10-12 lakh cash is placed in front of you and you're asked to count it Even when it isn't yours, still see how your mind will be able to concentrate on it And several times I have seen people count the notes, the whole bundle is counted then they count it again. Why second time? One said, "So that there is no mistake." I said, this is absurd. Speak the truth! Why did you count it a second time? He said, "I was enjoying it." It feels good! Ladies open their jewellery boxes and sit. When the look at them, they keep admiring and remembering They remember the story of each and every piece of jewellery Who gave it, when and why? And how they got it? They remember everything. This same lady will say I forget Bhagwan, what to do? I forget Gyana, what to do? You did not forget the jewellery? A person with maya, does not forget the maya Okay, if you had really been forgetting like, you have come here today, many with their children Is it possible for you to forget your children over here? And reach home and wonder, "Oho! Where is Pappu?" "Where is Bunty?" Is it possible for this to happen? No, it won't happen. Children are not forgotten; money is not forgotten Attraction of jewellery is not forgotten: clothes are not forgotten Someone says some rude, insulting word to you; that is not forgotten! And Ishwara you have forgotten? What is the reason? Let us try to understand this a bit technically One- That which we have seen with the senses, that experience becomes very deep Now, this flower in my hand...you have also seen this flower Looking at this flower Not for a long time, just seeing it somewhere In a shop, in some decoration, in a wedding Once you see a flower, you'll always remember it You have eaten something with the tongue Taste...of anything You don't forget it Why? Because there is direct experience of the tongue and the mind The tongue ate; the mind experienced the taste and a memory impression of it got recorded in the brain That this is sour, sweet, bitter or what taste is it? You smelled something Fragrance or stink Now, here the connection of the nose is with the mind And what you have smelled...that experience gets stored as an impression in your brain I'll give you an example Because, the eye and tongue concept is easier to understand than the nose concept Um....during summer time when the first rainfall occurs, The scent that arises from the soil Do you remember that or not? Okay! your neighbour, friend, teacher, student, colleague, anybody He had taken raw garlic in the morning and he was sitting and talking to you The odor that he emanated That...will you remember it or forget it? For some, the rose; for some, the jasmine; for some, perfume For some, when food is cooked The fragrance of semolina halwa being roasted Smelling it, you instantly recognize it and ask where is the halwa cooking? So, fragrance or stink was experienced by the nose and tasted/perceived by the mind And, the mind having savoured it, Its impression gets fixed in the brain And now, you will never forget this fragrance or stink. Can you forget it? Okay! You heard something from the ears Words... that you hear That sound also gets fixed as a memory impression in your brain Gets stored in the memory bank, in the neuron. Now you'll never forget that also Your father's voice, mother's voice, aunt's, neighbour's, dog's, cat's Horn, song, music Hear anything, you will remember that! The connection that is formed- of the word with the ear and then with the mind So the mind, ear and word- a relationship is established The mind, eye and appearance- a relationship is established The mind, nose and smell (fragrance or stench)- a relationship is established The mind, tongue and taste- a relationship is established The mind, your skin- soft, hard, hot, cold, rough All this that you have experienced with the skin These are your direct experiences Now, what is Samsara? Dear one, Samsara is this Panch Shabda, Panch Vastu only What is Panch Vastu? It is Shabda (Sound) Sparsha (Touch) Rupa (Form) Rasa (Flavor) Gandha (Odor) Five things And there are Five Tattvas- Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Akasha (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space) And after that are five more What we call Tanmatra in Vedanta The experiences which you will have with your senses. Right? So, Shabda, Sparsha, Rupa, Rasa and Gandha This, what you have experienced through the mind This has settled in your brain as remembrance, as memory Now you will not forget Like, something you had eaten in childhood That memory is more clear You bathed in the rain What was the feeling? You felt cold? What happened? You will not forget that. Now let's say, Parmatama Is Parmatama a Shabda? No Because Shabda manifested when Akasha tattva manifested Is Parmatama a Sparsha that we can touch? No. For Sparsha, Vayu tattva is needed If there is no Vayu tattva then there is no Sparsha See, today morning, it was cold here in the pandaal (Marquee) Right now its not cold Right now its hot Whether its hot or cold, how are you perceiving that? Can you see the heat-cold with your eyes? Tell me! You are hearing it with your ears? You are smelling it with your nose? You are tasting the air with your tongue? No! Your skin is telling you that now its hot And now its not hot, its cold That now the wind is strong; all this you find out through Sparsha.
