ब्रह्मविद्या क्या है l AV Epi 1949 l Daily Satsang l 21st June 2023 l Anandmurti Gurumaa

Om sahana vavatu saha nau bhunaktu saha viryam karvavavahai tejasvi navadhitamastu ma vidvishavahai gurur brahma gurur vishnu gurur devo maheshwara gurur sakshat parabrahman tasmai sri guruve namah Om shantih shantih shantih Umm.... Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram - Victory to the revered Lord Rama Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram Ram Today, for you - I took out a very wonderful bhajan for you but I will take it up later First I will take the questions you have sent Amit Bhargav - "What is this 'Brahman Vidya' (the eternal knowledge)?" "And do I have to come to the Ashram to learn this?" Look dear Amit Ji - what I am speaking is 'Brahman Vidya' only I have spoken so much that I have started coughing Right? And he is asking "what is Brahman vidya?" Brahman means what? Are you comfortable in Hindi? Okay, good Brahman means big, Brahman means all-pervasive Brahman means sat-chit-ananda (ever-true, ever-conscious, ever-blissful existence) Brahman means Omkar Easy answer So, in easy language we can call Brahman 'Paramatman' So, that which enables you to know Paramatman is 'Brahman-gyana' One is that you know nothing but you just believe in things All your worldly tasks don't happen because of believing but they happen because of knowing Are you married? Kids? Not yet - ahhh, good! I got a good example out of that Now if I say to you - "Just believe that you have four boys" So, just believing would work? Merely believing won't work If I give you a picture of four beautiful kids and say - "Just believe these are your kids" "Look, there is even a picture now" That won't work! If I... these days there is AI so if I give you a video of four boys who look like you- created with Artificial Intelligence And they even call you Papa Would you believe that those four are your sons? So, not by believing but that we experience in real-time, that we know - we consider only that to be true So, believing doesn't work Say, you are hungry and I give you a picture of idli-sambar, dosa, rajma-chawal, bhature-chole (Indian food items) And I say, "Just believe that food has come" - would you believe? Will it satisfy you? Try and lick it - you might get some taste! Looking at the photo is not enough You will say - "Until I eat it, even if it is a simple lentil dish with bread - " "I will get satiated only by eating it" But if someone says to you - "Just believe, just believe" Then you will say, "Are you crazy? Why should I believe?" Now, coming to the arena of Dharma You were told, "Bhagwan exists" and you believed Are you looking at your dishonesty? Not just you, everyone is like that "Believe that Paramatman exists" And you believed! You never thought that "I haven't known", "I need to know - I need to experience" You never said that Someone said, "He is Ram"; someone said, "He is Krishna" Someone said, "He is Niraakar (formless)"; someone said, "He is Sakaar (with form)" Someone said, "No, He is Vishnu"; someone said, "No, He is doesn't have any form" So, now there are two types, actually three type of people in this world One - who believe that Bhagwan exists And He is formless Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, all Vedantists, those who follow Kabir All of them believe this That Paramatman has no form, He is formless Second Those who say, "No, Paramatman has a form" So, there is Vishnu, Shiva, Durga, Devi - they are Bhagwan So, they made the idols of Vishnu, Ram and Krishna and started worshipping it Now, the one who is an idol-worshipper - when he goes to the temple, so he doesn't say that "I am going to see a stone" What does he think? "I am going to see the Bhagwan" 'I am going to have darshan of Bhagwan' They offer food to Lord there and he says, "Food is being offered to Lord" They offer clothes and say, "Lord is wearing it" So, these are the second type of people Third are those who say - "We don't believe that Bhagwan exists" "We don't even believe that there is a Lord, there is no Lord" So, all communists, all atheists come under this category And there are many in-between who say, "we neither say no nor yes" Antagonists So, the three categories of people But all these three are saying this that - God exists or God doesn't exist or God is a form or God is formless Or I doubt both They haven't actually inquired or realized They are just believing it So, what is Brahman-gyana? What is the truth? Does it exist or not? If it exists, then I want to know - If it exists, I want to experience it Just looking at the picture, I won't be happy Do you understand? The one who is going to the Gurudwara, just believes The one who is going to the temple, he also just believes - none of them know But the problem is that this is not affecting anyone's life Because just eat, drink and make money - every Sunday go to the temple or the Gurudwara A child here in Los Angeles was saying - "Oh mom, Gurudwara? We go Gurudwara"; She said, "Yes"; "Why?" "Oh yes, we go"; "Why"; "Because we get free food" "And very tasty one" "And a sweet dish but why do they give it first?" He was thinking kadah-prasad (offering made in Gurudwara) is sweet dish, the child was young We will just laugh listening to a small child But the truth is that many adults also go just for langar (food offered in a Gurudwara) There is nothing wrong in it, you should go - it's a good thing The money you offer in the Gurudwara and you bow your head - that is by the people so it should be for the people So, go with joy but do we just go to a religious place for free food? I was in England in Birmingham recently and a 85 year old woman there was saying - "Today, I went to a Gurudwara with all my friends" - they go to 2-3 different places turn by turn She said, "My friend called and said let's go to the Gurudwara with this particular address" She said, "I thought some good Raagi or Speaker has come" but she said, "They have cooked bathure-chole" "So, just come" So, I said, "It's a good thing" So, someone is going to eat, someone goes there out of fear "That O Bhagwan whosoever you are, the One that is in front of me, I am bowing down to that so now my children, my husband, my mother should be well" "My father in India has a heart problem, so Bhagwan, please see to it that he too remains well" "And I should keep making money, and everything should work out well" They hand over a long list to Bhagwan and come back home
