Without knowledge and without a steady mind living a human life is a very difficult task unwillingly the mind gets disturbed, though not wanting the mind gets clouded by doubt unwillingly in the mind questions arise about why & how things are happening? when will all this become alright? will I survive or not, be alive or not? whether or not I will die or will I survive or not, be alive or not? what is happening? the different doubts that cloud the mind, that arise in the mind, the solution to those can only be found only in one way and that is Gyana (knowledge) although I know that people find it very easy let me give an example, suppose here today, today when you are leaving from here, exiting from Sambudh Sabhagaar then I shall give all of you, (name of the meditation hall at the Ashram) one.... a sacred thread with magical powers do you understand Mauli? the thread worn around the wrist so, I will give you one very powerful sacred Mauli thread which when you tie on your wrist your troubles will go away and you will also get whatever you want the time is such so what to do? looking at the miseries of people I am forced to think in this manner so I too have thought raise your hand, who all want it, then I will give that sacred thread to those today is a very auspicious day nobody wants it? I am not joking today for sure I will be giving it this is not a joke It's not a light fun day like Women's Day, Father's day, Friends day it's not fool's day today, that I will make a fool of you my shop is shut down, before it even started! laughter you have become so wise that what should I do now? tell me! but you too know this that in this society many such places are there and many such cults are there many such people are there who give such assurance and people take it whether it gets accomplished their desire is fulfilled or not their wish is granted or not yet they will from this place 'A' you get a thread from 'B' you get a sacred pendant from place 'C' you get ash which is called vibhuti (the sacred ash) or Vibhuti is ash only, whether it is from the Yagna Kund or from where it sourced, you will be surprised to hear this, In Varanasi I am not saying in Varanasi everyone does that but it is a true incident that happens in Varanasi once I was in staying in Varanasi, there my host, he told me that these days online prayers are a very popular trend so from America, Europe and other places, people online they give a list of the charges, 51 hundred, 11thousand, or 21 thousand or a lakh of rupees of five lakhs for a Yagna so he was telling, here people pay online they transfer the money using their mobile they film and share, the Yagna is being performed the cow is being donated here here this is happening, whatever the rituals may be they make small video clips of that and if someone says I want to see it all then for two hours they keep it turned on and broadcast live, to show, here the mantras are being chanted for you here the Yagna is being performed and they charge money for it and then there are many people who believe that whatever the Pandit is telling must be true so they just pay the money and in return the Prasaad (sacrament) is sent, the ashes of the Yagna are given people feel very happy we offered an undisturbed offering Maha Mritunjaya Mantra chants now nothing will happen to us, Corona has no power to touch us now all this does happen but the problem is that I got the company of such sages, such a Master's company I had where... in his company there were no such things neither mantra nor tantra, nor yantra nor vibhuti, nor boons nor curses, nor any blind faith, he just taught me one thing, and that is the pure knowledge pure love and devotion so true devotion and pure knowledge that for your mind works like a shield not by making any horoscope on paper marking the nine planets in it and based on their positions making one sit, here then there then the Pandit gives a small scroll to keep in the wallet or put it in a pendant and wear it around your neck, then you will win over your enemies, in the court you will win the case, your daughter will get married, the daughter in law who was not right choice will get divorced, divorce too... they can get done both divorce and marriage is made possible, can open or shut a business, and people are engaged in all this why do I say that you should read your scriptures, why do I say you should keep studying the true scriptures beacuse your mind that is engulfed in darkness only true knowledge can help you emerge out of that darkness and this knowledge is there in our scriptures in abundance it is there with us then why do we not make use of it because when you do not understand your scriptures when you do not understand the basic original text whether it is Bhagavad Gita or Guru Gita be it Japji Sahib or Jaap Sahib or Sukhmani Sahib meaning the question is not which one of the scriptures am I talking about, any one that talks about the truth, the true knowledge, that scripture, when we begin to understand it properly, then in our life whenever we encounter weak moments when we do not know what to do then at that time these true scriptures only can show us the path which tell us at this time what is your duty, what you should do when you serve everyone and in return you are not applauded or you are not granted happiness or get respect and honour then the mind is sad at such a time when you read the Gita (Shloka) 'Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma Phaleshu Kadachana Lord says, you have the right to do an action, what the fruit of that action will be, you have no right over that and without the desire for the fruit if you do any actions then that is even better, this is one step higher Sakama Karma (action done with desire) for something in return Nishkam meaning when we do not seek anything, yet just do our duty we fulfil our duty we fulfil our responsibilities and in doing so in our mind there should be no greed we do not wish for anything neither of any acclaim nor for any fruit of the action or as they say what will I gain by doing this what benefit will I get if I do this so where there is no thought of reaping its fruit where duty is not considered a burden where you do your duty considering it your responsibility at such times the Gita shows the path the true scriptures show the way
