why are there so many male gurus see male has a very ambitious mind a male can be defined generally speaking being a provider you know the male always had been like a provider and he he would hunt and the woman would run the house take care of the children and the man would go out and fight and where's the bars and do the battles and hunt for food and kill the animals you know in the old old days and bring the food and protection and security to his children and wife and mother and whosoever there is in the home so the male comes with that great exhibitionism the male comes with that great power trips the ego trips and in the today's world the things are same but in a little different manner it's my opinion what I felt and experienced is two reasons one when a woman gets realized because by nature she's full of surrender full of love full of devotion and when she realizes she is in so much of gratitude that she would just love to be closed in that experience to the access to the gana to the knowledge is not readily available to all the woman for ages women were just running the house taking care of children giving birth to children helping them grow becoming an adult taking care of their grandchildren when the men folk would leave them renounce them and be a sannyasi she would be taking care of his kids taking care of his parents a woman was happy to do that job but then if we if he compared the data if we compare the number of men and women who are on the path of knowledge obviously you'll find more men and lesser woman and the opportunities are deprived they don't have that many opportunities because they're so busy running the house or these days even earning and running the house and taking care of the kids and she's doing a multiple jobs actually she's she is so satisfied doing all this that she hardly feels the need to go out and seek something more and if you see she's very interested to know about the mundane and what's happening around her and she will do her little puja some mantra some chanting some kirtan and she's happy with that and in other cases if we see then because the opportunities of seeking knowledge were not there and in for long long time in Hindu religion also in Buddhism also in Jainism also in Christianity if you see women never got her rightful place never respected totally little yes but most of the times she was expected to just play the job of a housewife and a mother and a wife so when the husband has left a home to look for God and go for pilgrimages and go to masters she's taking care of that house thing so in spite of this there had been some women who rose up but then they had to in a way sometimes leave those mundane duties behind to do partly the job like the men were doing but there have been some great women who were a queen Brahmans wife or a cook's wife or a Potter's wife and yet with shears Eagers eagerness to seek and to learn she followed the path and she meditated and she did her spiritual practices and became enlightened yes but again you know the the wish to come out and thump and teach and preach well it's a very manly thing it is it is you need a certain ambition to do that now when I'm saying man and woman I'll just like to take one step ahead I am NOT talking just about the body I am also talking about the attitude so when I'm saying woman then her attitude is in nurturing and giving and when she receives the Grace and the knowledge she just you know like a bud closes onto itself hence there had been many many enlightened woman but not all enlightened woman came out and professed or decimated the knowledge which they had gained and there's another story to this is that many women were deprived of this and three the monopoly of the male's really would like to shield the woman a woman master to function and there is a history actually to it that one of the tankers of China's was a woman mullah by but the male's have changed the history and they now call her Mali not meaning a man a man so that is what happens when your male chauvinistic society you know conducting these religious and spiritual works this is this this is what happens this is what is deemed to happen so there have been many masters women masters but not all we came into the limelight not all were addressed by the society and not all wanted to be addressed also so we do have like in Kashmir there was this one woman master love days in Hindus called her La Leche weary and then we have Robbie Al Basrah from city of Basra and then we have in in in India we have so many other like may 3 was there and so many and there's a typical word which is used for women master and that's a Rishi car like for a man if it is a Rishi then for a woman the what is Ruchika so we had many Rishi cars many Rishi cars and gargy was there but also was there Maitreya was there the Queen to Allah was there and so many more were there but yes it's very minimalistic numbers and that number is also not very much honored or very much in the pages of the history also but well I give call to all the women to be a seeker to be a meditator to rise above and then shine like a moon and maybe in time we'll have more woman masters will have more women gurus too but we should not see the guru ship based on the gender only because that will be a very ignorant approach to it and this is more like a very societal thing what I'm talking about that why more male goose why not women guru well you can say this about the scientists and pilots and chefs and just see heads of the countries the Prime Minister's and the president how many women are there so if you see women are not the go-getters they don't want to be and even if they are they're in political system or the economical systems they are struggling well they are struggling but we do have some great names who are upfront who are leaders who are great economists who are great politicians and but the opportunities should be gained one should not wait for it but in in the spiritual arena it's very different story once you taste the Samadhi who wants to talk who wants to give lectures who wants to travel and enlighten others the the possibility of a woman after the enlightenment after the Samadhi no more it is going to be that she would just establish that and being that and enjoyed that yes the society will be at loss because this particular person is not making herself available exhibiting for what she has but definitely more woman gurus nicer beautiful actually [Music]
