So, the sound also has a kind of a form, no? You hear, "Rose flower." So, hearing this word, an image gets formed in front of your eyes. that this is known as a rose. "Taj Mahal"-As we hear, then, a photo appears in front of the eyes. "Lake"... "sea, "mountain"-these words, when you hear them, then a picture comes in front of the eyes. Now, the better your visualization is, the better you will able to experience it. Okay, if I say "Wind!" Now, what will be the scene in front of your eyes? Then, it is possible that a fluttery tree comes is seen in the eyes. Or a man is standing at the ocean beach, very swift winds are blowing, his clothes are flowing. So, you are seeing that way. A painter wants to show very strong winds blowing, how will he show? Some man, some woman, he will portray, her saree is flowing, plants are fluttering, trees are fluttering... So, some thing's movement has to be shown. Otherwise, how will you picture wind? Okay, I say to you, I will say a word, hold it in your mind, imagine it in your brain-"Space." As soon as I say space, Then, if you've ever seen a picture of astronomy or a read a book somewhere, then, those planets & constellations will emerge as a picture. But, I haven't said planets-constellations. I'm not saying to visualize the planets. I'm saying space. Space means?... emptiness emptiness. Now how will you catch hold of Hard. Very hard! Now, see, space is also an element. It's subtle. But, it is an element. Air is also an element. Okay, I say, "fire!" It is not hard for you. You've seen gas lit up, stove lit up... burner lit, lit up oven, and also with a matchstick, you have lit fire. Now, imagining fire by closing the eyes... if you want, you can. If I say, "Water." You can imagine. If I say, "Earth." You can imagine. But, if I say, "Wind." What would you imagine? Say, "Space." What would you imagine? There's nothing you can imagine! So, when space and wind are not in your reach... So, these space, etc... 5 elements' subtle form which is present in Prakriti, how will you visualize the same? Okay, when you can't even visualize Prakriti, then how would you imagine the Almighty? So, the sages of the path of Bhakti say, "We" "are ones with a form. We have two feet, eyes, ears, nose, mouth... then, we need a Lord" "such that who has two eyes, ears, nose, feet." "The one" "with whom we can talk." "With whom we can play with." Well, how is it possible? To make this very thing possible, they said this that... Like fire is omnipresent. Omnipresent means it's present everywhere. Here too, there's fire. In your body also, there's fire. In this table of wood also, there's fire. In this chair also, there's fire. But, it's not apparent now. However, if we want to bring out this hidden fire, then, is it possible or not? Yes, it will be seen. Water also has fire. How? All this electricity you're using, it's coming from water only! When water is thrown from a great height down below, from dam propellers. And those propellers, with their movement, & further, a whole machinery is present, from where, it is said, that electricity gets generated from water. In Hindustan, one state began to make a dam... on a river. So, the neighboring state said, "We won't allow you to make the dam!" They asked, "Why?" They replied, "You people will take away" "the entire electricity! We will be left with just water! So, this is dishonesty." "We won't allow you to do this. So, the dam won't be made. We want water with electricity!" "We won't allow you to take the electricity." Now, who shall explain...? But, electricity is present in water also? In the body also, it's there. When you check temperature with a thermometer, it shows higher reading in a fever. In case of weakness, it is lower. And the day, your body dies, that day when they'll thrust thermometer into your mouth, nothing would come. Then, it gets cold. Though this is an experiment. This... I also am interested to know. That if we thrust thermometer into a corpse, then, what would happen? When someone around you dies, then go with a thermometer, and then open his mouth and put it there. Now, the family... That dead person's relatives, if they beat you up, it's not my responsibility.! An alive person has a temperature in the body. Well, people, a dead body also has a temperature! Fire is also present in a dead body. That's why, when you on the pyre... you may have put a tonne of wood onto it and placed the body on that, lit the fire... If the body didn't have fire, then, just the wood would be burnt, the body would be left as such. But, before the burning of the wood, this body gets consumed. The fire within the body, it becomes apparent. Though fire is present everywhere. Two forms are there-one is subtle form of the fire and second is the fire's gross form. if there is darkness in the room, then to remove darkness, we need light. How should that light be?-Gross or subtle? The subtle is already present. But, that doesn't remove the darkness. Then, we have to light up the fire, with a lighter or matchstick. We light it up and with the gross becoming apparent, the room's darkness goes away. In the same way, The Almighty is omnipresent, but is subtle. So, your mind can't catch Him. This very omnipresent Almighty has gross form at few places. Gross means apparent. Physically present. We address them as Avataras. Though the conscious one is present everywhere. But, the one whose subconscious is also full of consciousness, means true knowledge-that one is known as avatara. So, the Hindu religion accepts 23 avataras. However, with this, they also added that the sages are also avataras. It was said sages are also a avatara. Whose? They said, "Of the same one, who is attribute-less, formless, They asked, "Why so?" They replied, "Wherever the Truth got revealed," The truth is in same in you as much as it is in me. As much as it is in Buddha, Mahavir, or Kabir. But, in you, it is yet subtle, it's not apparent. And in Kabir and Guru Nanak, it is revealed. So, wherever the fire gets apparent in the gross form, it removes the darkness of that place. In the same way, the mind- intellect, the conscious on getting apparent at the gross level, There, we say, this is also the Almighty who has become apparent. This is also the form of the Almighty. Otherwise, it is all his form everywhere. Are you getting it? Otherwise, the fire is present everywhere But, without the gross becoming apparent, the darkness doesn't goes away. Similarly, the Almighty is omnipresent; however, it is His form which removes the faults of our subconscious. So, similarly, the attribute-less, formless, true-conscious-blissful Brahm's one form is Krishna. Now, it is said, with Krishna, those who keep some kind of loving, devotional bond, their subconscious becomes purified. Within them, love, affection, devotion and sattva guna start getting awakened. And from their mind, impurity-distractions-illusory cover-all get removed. And the ones who have a pure subconscious, such pure-minded ones have a great... relation of love with Krishna. So much so... that you can't even think how much! For those in devotion, Vrindavan is a name of a place. But, for the wise ones full of love... Vrindavan means pure mind. This pure mind itself is Vrindavan. The one whose mind has impurities... has anger... non-discernment, ignorance, that person's mind is not Vrindavan. From here, if you want to reach Vrindavan, you can reach in 4 hours. Go! They'll roam about in lanes, roam about in temples. There, some temple are 100 years old, another is 200 years, and some are new ones as well. When was Krishna there? From today, nearly 5,500 years ago! 5, 500 years ago... In 5, 500 years, the entire geography gets changed. The rivers leave the course. They move away. Places change. Krishna's times', Krishna's period's, no such monuments are there... But, its said, on this piece of earth, on this land, on this place, Krishna had, at one time, played, walked, stayed... Now, you feel this and go. Go with this sentiment. So, the one who has a sentiment, he... If he visits Vrindavan even today, then he feels great! He feels bliss. But, sentiment and fact are also different. But, what to say about your feeling of pleasure! if you give a dog a piece of chapati, he also feels great! Your mind also feels great about many things. Feeling good is at level of the mind, in that, if things are going well, you feel great! At one time, we did a shivir at Vrindavan. Then, one day... For some temples... a program was chalked out to visit them. All people went. Visiting one temple, a troupe of monkeys attacked. All the people who were wearing glasses, they took away their glasses! They feel weird, no... ? What they are wearing! They don't have them...! So, they took away the glasses. So, 1 or 2 people, from whom they snatched, they got scratched with nails... So, that woman called such names... alongside the monkeys, to everyone else! According to Bhagvad, the monkeys are also Krishna's friends. For Rama... In the time of Ramayana, they were surely so... They say, in Vrindavan also, wherever he did the divine play, these monkeys went alongside him. So, the ones who go with a sentiment, then, if they happen to see a monkeys, then offer they them food and drink. Why? They say, "They were also Krishna's companions!" She said, "Why, in the first place," "did I come? It's my fault! My brain went bonkers that I came here! What did I get? See," "they scratched me! Now, I will get shots! Whats the use? I don't want to listen to any satsang!" "To hell with the shivir (meditation retreat)! I'm going back home!" She left. Many people got afraid, felt a bit of fear. But, some people laughed later. As the glasses they took away, they observed them turning this side & that side! Then, when someone scolded, they threw away the glasses. They threw to them an edible thing then, he threw the glasses back... You went to the temple with a great sentiment...Someone picked the pocket! The sentiment... -whole of it sublimed. All the thieves are present in the temple. You abused and returned. Okay, you went to the temple. Now, every time, it's not a bad thing. At times, it's also a good one. Some Gosai saw you, "Okay, devotee, from where did you come?" "Dear devotee, from where did you arrive? Radhe-Radhe!" "We've come from Delhi, for the first time!" "Come, along! Let me take you for Darshan!" So, he took you, from one side, away from all others, separately let you get Darshan of Bihari Ji, gave a large leaf vessel with prasad, a flower garland...he put it around your neck, also around your wife's neck. And he gave you prasad also. Now, you're very happy! "The temple's very good. We had a great time!" Coming out, you had buttermilk. Had food and drink. Now, it was more joyful. Returning home, he will tell a hundred others, "In Vrindavan," "it's great fun! When I go the next time, you also come along!" Although the path of bhakti is all a play of sentiments. But, how swiftly a human being's sentiments change, you also know this. So, many times, it's not devotion what people consider as devotion. Devotion is not just a sentiment. Devotion is a firm faith. Devotion is not just a sentiment. Devotion is a true commitment. Devotion is a surrender. Devotion is yoking ones "I" with their Beloved. Devotion means prayer. Devotion means selfless, an expectation-less feeling. Devotion isn't just a sentiment. So, The description of Sri Krishna's effulgent beauty... Gurus have also done, Bani has also done, and sages like Surdas just crossed the limits... Such splendid description is given... And from the aspect of True Knowledge...So, Krishna means The Conscious One & where is the conscious one?-Inside the root of my mind itself, the conscious one is present. And in this root, the conscious "self", Brahman- -that is Krishna. And when you mind's attempt cannot understand this form, this blissful true conscious Krishna. And when your mind's attempt or say your mind's focus, moves on the outer worldly aspect- To see something with the eyes, hear something through the ears, relish something with the tongue. We have 5 senses of perception, and senses of action are also 5. And with the senses, your mind keeps running out, out, & out.... So, this is your ignorance-expanded-world. And your dealings with the world.
