'Ant kaal mamev' who will remember me in the end times, now let's see, Whose remembrance runs in your mind at this time ? whom do you remember? for sometime, today sit alone for one or half an hour don't read anything, don't listen anything, just watch your mind that what thoughts and what types of thoughts come and whose remembrance comes in mind so lakhs of worldly thoughts might be coming Thought of lord won't be coming once, because 'jane bin hoye na pratiti', to whom you don't know its conviction is not there whose conviction is not there, with him no love is there, and with whom there is no love, how will you have devotion for him? Husband-wife, son-daughter, family, business-job now we know them there's love with them that's why there remembrances keep coming don't have to remember, it comes automatically and it comes so much.. so much.. that one forgets everything else If get lost in thoughts, then they forget to get off at the train station... they get off after two stations Didn't realise, lost in thoughts Hand gets burnt while making bread get lost in thoughts While making tea.. Did I put sugar or not? You are making with your hand, you don't know, no senses Devotion of lord is simple, definitely it is simple but whose mind is fickle, how can it be simple for him? now what is The teachers of path of devotion, they keep on saying this again and again that knowledge is very difficult knowledge is very difficult..knowledge is very difficult Devotion is very easy...Devotion is very easy because what they have made the meaning of devotion...worship god twice, do darshan, offer prasad, eat prasad offer clothes to God, do adornment, pray and come home, Is this devotion? this is outer sequence the relation of devotion is with your mind in the Remembrance of the mind that should stay... always stay ' Sa Sarvvid bhajti ' Who remembers me all the time Krishna says, 'He is my devotee' 'sarv samay' meaning twenty four hours, meaning in day too Even in dreams, remembers all the time Now if you want to remember all the time, then disciplining the mind is need to be learned Have to learn how to keep discipline in the mind have to come in mind's dispassion If anyone wishes to walk on the path of devotion understand this thing The path of devotion is path of fire, it burns I along with my beloved (mai mere priyatam k sang) in garden was wandering I along with my beloved was wandering in the garden he scolded me by saying, ' how can you see the rose when I am with you' In which garden? In this garden of world Who is beloved? The Lord The lord is along with us but your vision goes on the worldly roses Beloved scolded and said,' how can you see the rose'? when the dear one is with you So your love was proven untrue So Mahender Ji, the examples which you have given of seventh and eighth chapter How I have explained, you read it once again then it will be understood Nothing is difficult but if the mind is shattered then everything is difficult Vedanta is difficult, devotion is difficult so yoga is also difficult then and if the mind is settled and is not fickle and at peace then all the paths are simple So the question is not of... See One will also enter the path of devotion effortlessly effortlessly someone will... because see To understand knowledge, one thing is necessary that is very superior intelligence is required One who is foolish, he won't be able to understand wisdom When the small things won't be understood, then from where the big thing will be understood Very sharp intellect is required for knowledge and for devotion, sincere and clear heart is required and if heart is impure not clear or pure, then very difficult If there is no intellect then path of knowledge is difficult and if body is unhealthy then path of yoga is difficult but This path of yoga is even for the diseased person Like I give the example of BK Iyengar his body was diseased and his yoga Guru who was his brother-in law too When he started learning from him, for first six years he couldn't think of doing the pranayam such weak lungs were there was such a weak body, was such a diseased body For three years he just did Asans and for next three years Few diseases have subsided, got a little healthy Body started getting healthy After six years, His master permitted him to do pranayam that now you are eligible Earlier he could not even do this much, he had such a sick body. But through yoga and asans, he cured his sick body this is true that sick person can not do Yoga but then this is also true that if sick person does Yoga then from Yoga only diseases get cured If mind is impure then devotion can't be done but even this is true that if will do devotion then mind will get bright This is also true that foolish person cannot understand Vedanta but then this is also true that if he puts all his intellect with faith then by little..little.. understanding.. then intellect will be sharpened, then it will understand Efforts are needed in all the three paths No effort is not the way to move in any path, Whether it is Gyaan, Bhakti or Yog, In all the three it is required Sunil Kumar Johar It is surely understandable that 'Atma' consciousness is making this Jiva move Even this is also true that supreme consciousness 'Brahman' is making this world move but it's hard to understand that 'Atman' and 'Brahman' is one but of every jeeva, 'Atman" which runs it, at individual level Atman is different Ultimately integrated from Brahman because jeeva behaves differently and it is integrated from Brahman also, didn't understand this? Actually, Sunil Ji, just now I have said unclarity in intellect and fickleness of mind It makes you incapable to understand these subjects Yesterday I told one thing that if there is hole in the bucket, then poured milk flows out So the holes have to be filled If we won't fill the holes, this bucket meaning it's your intellect and holes meaning something there Holes of Laziness, indiscipline, desires with which this leakage happens now Whether Atman is Brahman or not instead of going into this... first of all, I give you a duty that clear your mind increase concentration of mind, try to keep your mind in zone of thoughtlessness The more your mind will be at peace This principle won't even take a moment to understand then because this is not difficult thing but it becomes difficult when this mirror of mind is dirty It's just like if there is mud on glass of the car then you can't drive the car You have to clean the glass, one said no we can do how? said we'll face halfway out Will see the road from outside and will drive sideways so you can do anything Everything is possible but that is not practical and that is not legal also So one should not do this The best way is that you clean up your glass and then you drive. That would be better One of the Swami ji from UP (Uttar Pradesh) used to say this beautiful doha He used to say, " Kangan dhunde sone ko " " Boond dhunde jal ko " "Kapda dhunde sut " " Kangan dhunde sone ko " " Kapda dhunde sut " " Jeeva dhunde Brahma ko " " Teeno utt k utt " The bracelet is saying I will search for gold, where will I get it? Where to find gold, where to find gold? Cloth is searching for yarn, cloth is searching, See what he is saying says, cloth is searching for yarn and there is a reason for finding the yarn meaning if we will bring drop and ocean then from where we will bring 'utt' (rhyming will not match) in that There is some rhyming also So for Rhyming they are saying, Bracelet is searching for gold "Kapda dhunde sut ", " Jeeva dhundhe brahma ko " teeno utt k utt Why utt ? Bracelet is gold The cloth is yarn and the jeeva is Brahman he is utt (stupid)... so he asks how is it the same? Cloth is asking how I am yarn ? so he has to say that go and get some brain, then we will make you understand The problem is, identifying body as 'I' and identifying 'I' as mind saying this that "I am Brahman", this is wrong Without breaking this bondage of attachment with this body This can't be said that I am Atman or I am Brahman. By identifying with the mind, meaning I am happy or sad, I am virtuous or sinner the colors given to this 'I'... is given because of the mind so from this These attachments which are made, not only attachments but we consider this mind as 'I' Until we remove this, till then 'I am that pure Brahman', It won't be understood Mind is limited, Body is limited By identifying with this limited body, how can you say that I am limitless While being attached to your this antahkarana (mind, intellect, chitta, ego) you will remain a jeeva, can not be Brahman to realise Brahman, the affection and attachment with this one antahakarana or mind has to be broken meaning the drop remains the drop How will the droplet understand that it is the ocean only because the size of ocean is so big and drop is so small Similarly when the Jeeva watches himself that I am so small and Lord is so great, How can I be the lord? It is not possible. How can this Atman be the Brahman? Once, the devotional teacher had a debate with Vedantic teacher Devotional teacher said, You say that Atman is Brahman I break your leg, prove by making it new You are lord, I break your leg and break your head Lord has created whole universe, Show me by fixing your one leg and head Devotional Acharya picked up the stick Saint was ahead and Devotional Acharya from behind was holding stick save ..save.. happened there Then one wise man solved the problem of both of them He said, when they say 'Atman is Brahman' then they didn't say to the body I am this mind, knowing this; I am this mind, considering this I am this 'Atman', How? There can't be two things So behavior is taking place in nature Nature is working with its laws From this nature, the body and mind are formed " Manobudhya ahankaar chitta ninaham " " Na ch shotra jihvey, na ch ghraan netre, na ch vyom bhumi " So we are removing our 'I' from all the things which is created from the nature This mind is not me, this subconscious mind is not me, this smelling and nose is not me This tongue is not me, this eyes are not me so we are separating our 'I' from everything which has been created from this nature then only we can say " Chidananda Roopa Shivoham Shivoham " by considering your mind as 'you', if you say 'Shivoham', then your Shivoham is also false So confusion is only this that attachments are not yet broken from these boundaries and limitations of the mind and affection has not yet gone that's why 'I am Atman' and this 'Atman is Brahman', this is not clear so through viveka (discretionary knowledge), by repeated contemplation, should clearly understand this subject first
