with great love and full concentration your mind let it be here with me and by my side hold it here today is a very beautiful celebration of seasons of the king of all seasons, the Spring Basant Utsav is a day to celebrate spring it is also the day to pray to Goddess Saraswati (the Goddess of Knowledge) and at Kumbh (a mass congregation of pilgrims to take a bath/dip in a sacred river) this is the last bath which the Sages do and the common people too do it The Kumbh has its own joy, certainly taking a bath in the holy water on that particular day at that auspicious time to collect virtuous deeds those who have a desire for that those who wish to go to heaven then, this taking a bath in that water is very essential and of our country Bharat prevailing since ages it is a customary ritual too the Sages coming together gathering of the saints Coming together of religious people this is a pleasant occurring which keeps occurring time to time so those who are able to go, that is good but us, the Vedantist's have an issue that the outward rituals to us are not an area of keen interest we respect & regard them totally but do not have a keen interest towards them interest reason being because the spring that is witnessed outside is after fall and before summer and when seasons change again then autumn comes again and then winter sets in & begins so in the seasons that comes and goes spring is dependant on another season is dependant on a date a particular time it awaits but a festival of spring and one winter and one rain one heat of the summer season in the mind too occur when the world's wrath and fire, man burns in then that is summer for him when one drowns in materialistic desires and life's goals he looses sight of then this is the rainy season of his life when trapped in attachments, the mind is dazed then this is the winter for him and when sometimes some happiness some joy on birth of a son a marriage happens or gets then this becomes his spring and after marriage the joy that this culmination and indulgence brings that can be called that is his festival of Spring the common man's seasons of his mind their nature and change in their these are just those temperament then the other second one is that of a seeker, devotee, a follower of Vedanta so in a seekers life in his mind too these seasons come and go when in his mind thought of detachment arises then this is the winter season of a seekers mind ana-sakt meaning he becomes dazed so the one who is dazed then this is the winter of his mind and autumn outwardly the trees shed leaves then we call it autumn fall it is but when from a seekers mind attachment and greed fall off this then is the autumn of his mind when in his Master devotion he sheds tears of love in the devotion of the divine he stays awake through the night then this is a devotees mind's rainy season and when he burns himself in the fire of penance in practice, fasting, discipline, routine this then is the heat (summer) of his mind he burns himself in this heat with firm resolve and discipline he lives his life then A hermits day begins at 4:00 am in the morning or at 3:30 in the morning at 3:30 he will wake up so to wake up at 3:30 am he will have to make an effort, push himself or not?
