कैसे पहचाने सद्गुरु को AV Epi 2144 Daily Satsang 1st January 2024 Anandmurti Gurumaa

More than a question, these are emotions Umm That having beautiful darshan of Guru, heart gets filled with bliss Tears start flowing One who comes in refuge of Gurudev, his life attains dharma, artha, kama and liberation Meditate, listen, do kirtan, mantra chanting, pray and do yoga Then you will receive Guru's grace Or We can say that all this will happen if you receive Guru's grace But actually this is a partnership between the Guru and the disciple Guru is teaching and the disciple is learning Guru is showing the method and disciple is following it When the disciple opens his heart only then Guru's grace penetrates him If the disciple keeps the door of his heart locked then what can the Guru do? So this is a big limitation for the Gurus This doesn't depend on Guru's wish at all that she wants this and people change Because I see in my own life I met many lovely and good people And it was my effort that those people walk on the path of dharma, spirituality, gyana (eternal wisdom) and yog But they turned out like tree trunks They turned out to be stones Like you only injure yourself by hitting your head on a stone Similarly, sometimes the disciple is like a stone No matter how much the Guru tries, that stone doesn't soften It doesn't matter how perfect the Guru is Disciples fail the Guru Because that disciple was actually not a disciple Who knows through which mistake or he might have a few weak virtuous deeds That he met a Guru but he remained the same like a stone Strange thing is that by Hunaman ji writing the name of Ram And throwing those stones in the sea, even those stone stayed afloat It's a very beautiful incident, so... A section comes in Ramayana that when this sewa (selfless service) was happening A thought came in Sri Ram's mind that everyone is doing sewa so should I Everyone is doing it, so should I So he came and the vanars were giving each other stones that had Ram written on them And in the end they would hand it to Nal and Neel to throw it in the sea It is said that Sri Ram went there, took a stone and gave it to Nal and Neel They threw it in the sea And they sank And those stones sank Laxman ji was very surprised How come?! So Sri Hanuman Ji was asked what just happened? You are writing Ram and the stones are floating And one whose name is Ram, one who is himself Ram And with his own hands, he throws a stone with Ram written on it in the sea and it sinks - how come? So Sri Hanuman Ji says - that which is thrown away by Ram, how will that float? One who is let go by Ram, who will give him refuge? So Ram was the refuge and Ram let go That go...so it will definitely sink Truth is this Because of this, many Sants said - Ram's name is greater than Ram So let go of Ram's form and just hold on to Ram's name Ram's name will make you swim Even a stone thrown by Ram's hands sinks But where the name comes, that floats That's why Ram Ji's name is greater than Him These are emotions of Sants There are few such Sants who didn't make an idol of Sri Ram They never worship an idol or keep a picture They just write the word Ram and chant Ram, Ram And first they say, Ram's name is greater than Ram - that's it But the truth is this A similar story sometimes occurs between a Guru and a disciple Guru is well versed in scriptures and established in Absolute Reality while the disciple is a stone Then... Where this is true that no one can get liberated without a Guru Even if you are like Shankar Even if you are like Vishnu or Shiva, without a Guru you will not attain liberation and gyana At the same time, this is also true That if the disciple if not sincere Then even a complete Guru won't be able to do anything, things will go wrong... So this is a partnership between the Guru and the disciple Both of them...equal I always remember this That Respected Swami Prakashananda Ji Maharaj said to me If there is a herd of sheep in front of you, can you give gyana to these sheep? I said - No Maharaj, how can I give gyana to sheep? He said - Similarly, you will meet some people who are like sheep You won't be able to do anything to them But then there will be some with a good intellect, good feelings and devotion Self-study of scriptures, humility, satvaguna, purity Ahh...love, tenderness, purity, egolessness They will have this, he said - you will be very useful to them I thought - OK because sometimes I would feel bad that how is this possible... Then that day I understood that everything won't happen by my efforts alone That's why Gurus have their own limitations It's a very big limitation...this is the bitter truth That's why I don't have any such misconception Ahh... That'w why this... This is absolutely true The disciple must possess faith, equanimity of the intellect, dama (command over senses), titiksha (ability to endure unfavorable conditions), samadhan (equanimity) and uparam (when the mind doesn't desire sensory pleasures) And the Guru must be well-versed in scriptures and be established in the Absolute Reality Then this pair that forms This will definitely, 100 percent take the story to realization of Brahman (Absolute Reality) and realization of Atman (Pure Self) If the Guru is knowledgeable but inexperienced, this won't happen If he is experienced but he doesn't have the knowledge of scriptures Then he doesn't have all the weapons to transfer that knowledge That he is able to give that understanding, that intelligence, that gyana and that wisdom to the disciple This eligibility is very unique...extremely unique When the heart becomes completely filled with devotion Then the truth is this That the mind becomes completely silent on having Guru's darshan This...one who feels the need to ask - Guruji, how do I calm my mind? This means that the person doesn't have the level of devotion which is required Otherwise There are beautiful shabads in Gurbani - gur ka darshan dekh dekh jeevan (I am living by having my Guru's darshan) guru ke charan dhoye dhoye peevan (may I drink the nectar of my Guru's feet) iss gur ko chulavo pakha maha agan te haath de rakha gur ki seva...teri seva mukat bhugat jugat teri seva I mean there are such beautiful shabads Where they go close to the Guru with this love and emotion and the mind becomes still Guruji didn't tell any meditation technique, Guru didn't make them do any pranayama Guru didn't say that meditate upon this or breathe deep or shallow or Do kapalbhati or anulom vilom or nadi shodhan (types of pranayama) Guru didn't say anything The disciple will full of love and emotion He went in front of the Guru And upon having darshan A beautiful lines comes darsan dekhat hi sudh ki na sudh rahi budh ki na budh rahi dhyan mein na dhyan raheyo gyan mein na gyan hai What is this level of love? What is this level of devotion? What level of attachment is this towards the Guru That darshan alone is enough....in that alone... His mind becomes pure What kind of fire of love is this? This is very rare, very rare I was with my Gurudev, I had the fortune of sitting with him in silence five or six times And even when I met him in a crowd or saw him from a distance Then every time I had the same experience That as soon as I was in his presence, whether he was in a village, a town or his ashram As soon as I stepped foot on that ashram land Mind would dance in bliss, it would become silent, it would dissolve Then even if I had to wait the whole day Because I insisted and requested that I wanted to sit with Maharaj Ji in silence If I am sitting there since 6 am and they called me at 3 pm or 5 pm in the evening If it's winter, then I would just sit there on the cold floor I didn't know when he could call me So I would just sit there Whether it is cold or hot or raining or whatever But the mind is so deeply silent That when the time would come to see him Then I would have to dig deep with great difficulty that what should I say so that listening to those words, he talks to me And a small conversation takes place between us But one thing was certain, whether we talked or not, whether I sat close to him or not But the area he was in, as soon as I stepped foot there And the mind would dissolve, the mind would disappear The mind has completely disappeared And I always say this A regular person has no way or knowing who is a great being and who is not There is just one sign If you are a true seeker, true practitioner and if you want to know Then going close to such a Sadguru, your mind will immediately become silent And this is the only sign But this will happen only when you are at that same level Same level of honesty, seeking and dispassion Same level of longing, love and emotion If this is there, then you won't need to ask how to still the mind The mind gets so connected to the Guru It becomes like the Guru so... As the Guru is pure and pious Similarly, the disciple's mind becomes pure and pious Like if two drops of yogurt fall into a milk pot Then all that milk turns into yogurt Just a little bit yogurt is used Similarly that bond of devotion and love It is a starter, it works to convert milk into yogurt You went there and the mind just... In reality, it is this simple It is so simple, it is not at all difficult Who is this difficult for? Ahh.... When there are impurities in the mind There is dishonesty in the mind There are attachments and aversions in the mind When you see others When you compare one with the other If the mind is not pure Then this experience won't happen If the mind is pure If you have honesty Then Just upon having darshan Definitely what Sri Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj is saying darshan dekhat hi sudh ki na sudh rahi budh ki na budh rahi The mind becomes completely still and thoughtless So on the path of spirituality Remember this one thing It is necessary that your mind becomes free of impurities It is necessary that your mind is filled with purity Like Umm...like they say if you touch iron with the paras stone, then paras converts that iron into gold But I am saying if there is plastic wrapped on that iron Then even if you keep it with paras for eons Iron will remain iron It will never become gold So if there is a cover on top of that iron If there is a veil, it must be removed Similarly, on the mind of a practitioner, a disciple, a seeker There should be no veil of deceit, lies, hatred and ego The mind should be pure just like a child That's why in our country we say children are a form of Bhagwan Why? Because he is free of impurities, there are no attachments, aversion and ego in his mind There is no mine and yours in his mind That's why the shine you see in a child's eyes, you don't see that in an old person So a disciple's mind...one who wants to be a disciple, his mind should be free from impurities It should be full of love and devotion And the Guru should be capable, well-versed in scriptures and established in Absolute Reality And when this meeting will happen With extreme ease...
