Small minds get happy in small happiness like treat wife with good food, nice dresses, jewelries- she's elated Cook a dish of husband's choice, fulfil his wish- so, he's also happy if you give your boss a basket of flowers and fruit; serve him, then the boss is happy A person gets happiness by giving a bribe somewhere somewhere a person tries to have it by consuming alcohol if the mind is small then it gets happy in small things I want to narrate a story of a man This man won a lottery and he got ten lakh rupees He says, when that money came in my hand- it's an old story; 20 years back (He) said when I got 1 million then... Myself alone and I cry on the day I won the lottery See, If you don't have the right sense Then the wealth becomes the cause of your destruction and if you have knowledge, wisdom and intellect only then this money will be used for any productive work of yours A ancient saying I quote, if Laxmi goes alone says, She rides an owl If She goes with Vishnu, She rides on Eagle, Now what is this sign When we say an Owl, then it means deserted, burial ground scary place Some old people even would get scared If the owl sits on the house by mistake it doesn't happen like that; it's their belief that owl is not a good omen it signifies desertion, pain, grief.. and Garud- Eagle signifies knowledge when you become knowledgeable then when the money, power and empire comes to you So with the virtue knowledge you do not harm yourself And are able to do welfare of others. And if there's no intelligence what will they do? will harm themselves, what else- won't be able to do anything else. The worldly people take great pleasure in these things they get so much happiness- Like if a boy is born in someone's house all of them celebrate and believe that how much lucky that the first born is a boy And if it's a girl, then they cry the mother giving birth also cry, grandmothers are also crying that why girl is born a son should have been born- If it happened then elation, if not then grief comes mind and intellect are small so takes pleasure in the little things But they are not speaking of small happiness here, they are talking about such an ecstatic state where the mind gets overwhelmed Overpowered by the happiness, body is brimming with joy 'nayan bah nira', nir means water nayan means eyes; the eyes start watering you will say- recently you were saying there should be happiness So what sort of happiness is this in which tears are also coming Haven't you never laughed so hard, say on a joke only, ever that constant laughing brought water in your eyes? Tell Have you never experienced such a laughter? when the limit of happiness is crossed even then tears shed from the eyes and tears are not just a sign of grief tears are also sign of happiness and love So what Sri Ram is saying, first- 'mam gun gavat pulkit sharira' Firstly, there is no compulsion in singing the glories of the Lord no stick is hanging over the head that remembrance of Lord must be done but there is so much joy in worshiping that in that bliss the limit is broken When the mind is overcome with happiness and love, tears start flowing from the eyes I don't know, Have you ever had such a time in your life or not if not then I would say that it is such a chance that you definitely pray O Lord, may this opportunity comes in our lives too that while contemplating your name and doing chanting May our body begins to brim with happiness too heart is overwhelmed, and tears of bliss start flowing from the eyes those eyes get purified through which such tears flow 'kaam aadi mad dambh na jaake' who has no desires in his mind and no ego in his mind who has no conceit in his mind Who will this be? He is a devotee so He's giving attributes of a devotee see, they could have even said that the one who is carrying a beaded necklace who has worn a tilak; who wears dhoti The one who wears sacred thread is a devotee one who is dressed in Saffron One who wears Rudraksha around his neck keep long hairs He is my devotee, no no.. What they are saying? The one who has no desires who have no ego The one who has no deceit, he's my devotee And 'taat nirantar bas mai taake' and I- the Rama get possessed by such a devotee; I become their devout 'bachan karam man mori gati' 'bhajan kare nih kaam' whose words and deeds are all for me, and the course of his mind is as such that he is not worshiping that he need something in return See, nowadays there is a custom, an old one, though, it is not new Like if you do Hanuman Chalisa for forty days And offer laddu to Hanuman ji in this temple, then your wish will be fulfilled Today Navaratri began So many devotees of Devi will fast for 9 days They will fast with a feeling in their mind that may we get a maruti car Somebody will say, I should get a job Somebody will say, may I get a girl, everyone will fast keeping a wish A very dear family is there of ours his son told me, a temple is there in front of our house and there is a recitation in the morning in the temple even I go.
