One moment ago maybe five or ten moments ago this body was singing and so were you but in this present moment Words are coming out and you are listening Now the question arises that at this time when I am speaking then your mind is listening to me or your mind is thinking about something which has no relation with this subject Just like mercury the mind slips so quickly and so fast that you find it very even difficult to keep track where your mind has gone. I have this question in front of me and they say Please can you teach us how to get rid of anxiety and stress There are two more things but I'll talk that about later I am answering this question Why anxiety happens and why stress happens? Simple When your mind does not live in present moment and it thinks about future or some past event, you will have anxiety Are you getting it? There couldn't be an easier answer than this Why do you have stress in your mind ? That is because because your mind is thinking about something which will be happening or thinking about something which has happened Something unpleasant happened in the childhood and you see, people remember that till today. get a chance then we had a hard childhood We had nothing to eat A father said to his son, By walking ten kilometers, swim in the river then I went to my school You don't value He said, dad If you were poor then what was my fault in that ? If our grandfather lived in the village then what was our fault? and If today we are living in a town where car and buses are being run, even then what is our fault? What happened in your childhood has nothing to do with me Why are you bringing your painful memories to teach me some lesson Now what should I go, I have a bus coming to pick me up for my school, Should I say no no I am not going to sit in a bus, I am going to walk to my school all the way because my father used to walk. Will it make some sense? Many times People can't forget their childhood memories We do this in our childhood or we do that Now if something good is there by remembering that will bring tears in eyes and if something bad is there even that will bring tears, meaning tears are ready to come Either start crying in happiness or in some sorrow or in frustration you start crying or some good memory by remembering that you start getting sad that what a good time it was When mind doesn't stay in present When mind gets tangled in past or future then stress comes So if you don't wish to have stress and anxiety in your life then train your mind to be in the present moment. What will happen tomorrow? Well actually nobody has seen tomorrow, tomorrow is just your imagination. Have you seen tomorrow? okay lets say, What is day today? speak up friday, so is there day of frying and eating something? Today is friday what is the proof that today is friday? You will say our calender, watch and news channel is saying that's why, they can all lie You will say no, according to longitude and latitude values by calculating and seeing with sun that's why we are saying that today is friday, okay Does friday happens on the sun? Is friday, saturday, sunday happening in the Sun? or say if you somehow happen to make a house at moon which Japanese are planning to and even I believe even Americans are hoping to make a colony at the moon Will there be any saturday, sunday, monday at moon? No This days and weeks and months and years are happening on the earth only Right? Today is friday Okay what is time? No, It is ten forty seven, by the time you say ten forty seven the seconds watch has moved further Don't speak lie to me don't do that bluffing, give me exact time, what is exact time now? Now somebody can be very smart and add the future five ten second into it and then say it is ten forty seven and forty seconds but that is untrue again I am saying what is time? Now What is time now? You can see whatever the time is now from the clock but when you will start speaking, by speaking time has passed the clock will not stop there So when I say be in the present then it means Hundredth fraction of a second too is present How many minutes in an hour? sixty How many seconds in a minute? How many micro seconds in one second? So when I say keep your mind in present I am saying that you live in micro second now to live in that micro second thinking of the mind cannot go anywhere If I say to you hundredth part of a second if you live then what sorrow or pain you have at that moment? If I divide a second into hundred parts I am dividing a second into say hundred parts So in that hundredth second part, micro second What anxiety do you have? or what kind of stress can you have in your mind ? To have any stress you have to go either in past or in future But if I can be in that micro second observatory styled living There is no chance and no space for any thought to come neither good nor bad hence there will be no stress at all. Are you getting what I am saying? To have stress mind has to think about some event that we used to be poor had no money no food and relatives were not good Our father was dead our mother was died something was or was in the event would have happened Are you getting? In Hindi that was happened or it was too difficult The sentence is ending by 'was' in hindi language Right? Now when you go in was or were, then only you cry Have you ever seen Kathak dance? Have you seen kathak dance? if not done then must have seen someone then their 'ta thayi tat tat' 'aa thayi tat tat' Should I make you that? So sadness will come when mind will think of past stress will come but if keep on doing 'tha thyi' in present, then no worry can come Now understand in this way It is known as 'Tatkaar', they do it with feet You know the dancer so they lift one foot then place it down then another then another so they tap the whole foot 'Ta, Thayi, thayi, Tat' they bang the heel on the ground then 'Ta thayi thayi tat' 'Aa thayi tat tat' 'Ta thayi thayi tat' 'Aa thayi tat tat' now To do this Ta thayi You have to be very cautious very vigilant otherwise you will mix up where to place the heel and where to place the full foot Are you getting it? So instead of going to the past tense You do the 'Tha thyi' of dance, that is much better If we bring our mind in present At once hundredth part of a second If you start living in the present so meticulously then no stress no tension no concern no anxiety can come now Either we understand this thing with knowledge empty our mind so mind will be at peace or with any yogic practice completely come in present by which mind will become empty So the same knowledge I am saying The thing is, you have heard the words of knowledge from your ears but there is long planning of this world in your mind So when I say that live in the present moment You have heard it very simple just to hear no difficulty at all, Is it difficult to hear? No But your mind has huge box filled of desires What you want to do What you want to see Whom you want to meet You need to buy a house and then you want a house which is close to a lake or maybe close to seaside or maybe in the down town and you want a certain size house and you want to marry somebody and you want to have kids with somebody and you want to have some billion dollars or not maybe million or may be some atleast hundred thousand dollars in your bank account and your hopes and desires will keep on stirring your mind and your mind will always be hopping into the future and will have to create strategies and think of plans How will I do that? How will I do that? and when you don't succeed and when you fall down It's very devastating So the mind which has too many desires that mind can never experience peace even if god appears in person, in front of this person. Lord Brahma Vishnu Mahesh appeared in front of you But if in your mind are filled with desires and desires Then you must be crying in front of them too You will not be happy to see them Like a devotee those who don't have desires in his mind is a devotee One who rings the bell is not a devotee Who keeps on turning the beads of rosary is not a devotee Who visits temple daily is not a devotee Who is devotee? One who doesn't have desires in his mind he is devotee and those who have desires in mind Now you see Duryodhana is standing in front of Sri Krishna and is fighting with him Is he enjoying that Oh! murli wale Such a beautiful presence I am ecstatic Duryodhana was just getting angrier and angrier whenever he would meet Krishna for a devotee Krishna is God a personified and whenever devotee is seeing a Krishna, they are so happy and so ecstatic and they are so joyful but when Duryodhana, the prince the Kaurava clan When he would meet Sri Krishna He would just get angry Why? because he felt that Krishna is not being supportive of him and he is supporting his cousins, The Pandavas and the Pandavas will one day win and I'll get defeated and Krishna is the only person because of which this defeat will come to me So he hated Sri Krishna He would get very angry and in many many instances He tried to imprison him catch him wanted to bound him, put him into shackles and throw him in some jail.
