Saheb says, "Don't run away" 'ja re, teri kaya me gulja re' He's telling his mind, "Don't run off" 'Ja re' it can also be ignite the mind, don't go any where 'Ja re' also means 'Mood Buddhi' like we say thick head so in village dialect - 'Ja Re' ''karni kyari boye ke rehni rakh rakhware' sow the seeds of your good karmas and sit near this flower bed 'kapat ko kaag udaye ke dekho ajab bahare' the hypocrisy of your mind that is there this is akin to a crow and any crop that on which a crow feeds upon, it'll will damage it So when a farmer sows the seeds he constructs a raised platform and standing on it he will hurl a cloth like this so that any crow doesn't come and eat away the sown seeds so similarly Saheb says, "do good deeds" and then the seeds of good karmas meaning protect those karmas too- meaning it's not like today we did great karmas today, tomorrow we'll again be that devil today we folded hands to everyone, tomorrow we will show eyes to everyone today we speak sweet words, tomorrow we keep hurling abuses upon others So the flower bed of good karmas take care of it, protect it this is your real earning in your life, the crop of good karma that is there it's your responsibility to protect that crop 'manwali ko bandh ke, kar sanyam ki bare' Tie the mind Bind the mind, with what? with discipline and- 'daya bruksh sukhe nahi sinch khsyama jal dhaare' and you keep irrigating with compassion upon whom have to do compassion? here He is saying to be compassionate unto your own self when you wish to be compassionate on to others you are doing some charity and you might be getting more egoistic about that and the truth is you have to first be compassionate on your own self own life is drowned in sins, ignorance and one is showing compassion to others, arranging langar of roti for others distributing clothes to others; he himself is drowned in ignorance so He said, "first amend yourself" first be compassionate on your own self and irrigate this compassion with forgiveness meaning, whoever practice bad karmas, utter displeasing words around you keep bad thoughts, do backbiting forgive them too if you will start keep their account in your head this is a sure thing that your own mind will go nuts he did this; he did that; he did that so learn to forgive those who are cruel to you those who are bad but towards your own self, be compassionate but before being compassionate be very strict in your discipline means, such sweet sleep comes in the morning so he says, "I am being compassionate on own self that keep sleeping, no problem" outside it's very cold, Saheb has said to be compassionate so I am being compassionate on my own self and my tongue was watering witnessing good food so I was very much compassionate on my own self, eat, no problem everything is Lord's Prasad This is not called compassion Step one— be disciplined Bind the mind with discipline then He said step two— Be compassionate Step three— Forgive others The one who can't do these three things, know that for sure, leave wisdom, Vedanta, he can't even enter into path of devotion He can not ! 'gul kyari ke beech me fool raha kachnare' 'kheele gulab ajab rang, gulgulab ki daare' Saheb is teaching gardening, how to do it! He says, in between the flower bed plant some trees like that of Kachnaar (Bauhinia) You have planted these flowers and the roses which will blossom here Now of what He is talking about here? The branches of Kachnaar tree are long and the likes of rose , chrysanthemum plants— these are short in height so between small and big, a rose blossoms so he is teaching about the 'internal' gardening means, keep some small rules in your life which you will never break they are small, easy to follow- like I will not lie it's very difficult, what should I say! It's very difficult Many times when I catch the lies of people then I don't understand should I make him stand in courtroom and show him that he is guilty, wrong or should I make him understand one on one or should I scold him because I have seen this who is stubborn neither he will understand through scolding nor through punishment but if wisdom would have been there, why he would have been done bad karma that's why some of these rules are those which we need to follow we will not take anyone's right— or anything that doesn't belongs to me I will not steal, it shouldn't be a rule given by somebody I choose to do it, I will not steal I will not gossip, very difficult because those who gossip they say, "O we were just talking" We weren't backbiting? We were just talking but these talks are such poisonous they are spiting fire but they will say, "No we were just talking" It's difficult— One should make rules for himself small rules and then some big ones Big rules like sometimes in life, take such a resolution if you have such time, leisure, possibility like this that I will observe silence for 21 days now this became a long thing that for 11 days, I will eat only once and will wake up at 4 o'clock, now this became a long thing means if you are not making any difficult rules for yourself means there is no Tapasya (austerity) in your life remember that when you do Tapa then mind gets purified when mind gets purified then we become deserving of the Gyana- the highest wisdom Besides, in the beginning of Amrit Bindu Upanishad itself, the mention was made The definition of eligibility which is given, tell me, who fits in there? It's difficult; it's very difficult so to make your eligibility we need to choose the path of Tapasya and this is not Tapasya that...like now I said this thing, so many people would come later and say: 'You tell, what should we do?' What should I tell? You feel hungry, you eat! Do you come to ask me, "What should I eat?" you feel sleepy, you sleep. Do you come to ask me, "Should I sleep or not?" so why would you ask me this? If you have decided on something then tell that we are willing to do this take blessings, that is fine So some small rules of Tapasya, some big one some easy, some hard to follow when we keep following these rules so in between these two rules a point like this comes where the sacred fruit of samadhi will bloom if you do something then something will happen ignorance can only be eradicated by listening to to the Gyana but if mind is not prepared if the mind is not prepared then even after listening Gyana nothing will happen, only the pride of having listened will come 'khile gulab ajab rang gulgulab ki dare' 'asht kast se hot leela agam apare' 'kahe kabir chit chet ke, awa gaman bichare' asht kast se hott this.. One is your body your five sense organs, in-total that becomes six another is you mind and intelligence, became eight He said, "suffering comes from these eight" The reason of suffering is nothing else, but these only so 'asht kasta se hot leela agam apare', this is drama of Maya The body with which you are living, you get sufferings from the same body the husband whom you love, suffering will come from him also parents who are there, sometimes they appear bad sufferings come from them, thoughts don't match there is scarcity of wealth- fighting and quarrelling doubt happened on one other- fighting and quarrelling they are doing, 'Thine-Mine'; 'This is mine, this is yours' Now tell, did someone else gave you the pain? or your mind gave it? Mine-thine is the doing of mind! this body is mine, it is proclaimed by the mind so the suffering which come from eight places for this pain, what should one do? 'Chitta cheta' Do a contemplating in the Chitta- 'Chhet' contemplate on all the sufferings, why are they coming? From where they are coming? then look in your mind Is it you who are creating these expectations and too many desires Is it your lust and greed which is giving you pain and misery? or is it somebody else who is giving you contemplate, Chitt-Chhet, see the sub-conscious, Chitt(sub-Conscious) Chhet(Contemplate) so contemplate on your chitta Kabir ji is not saying,"Contemplate on your thoughts" in your mind, he is going much deeper see what is in sub-conscious these active thoughts that run in the mind, he is not even taking about them he is going much deeper catch hold of the root cause from which all this is coming by contemplating on subconscious, think on the cycle of coming-going (birth-death) you will get the solution of getting freed from the from the cycle of birth-death here only From where? will get from this subconscious only. Where there is bondage, liberation is also there only bondage is in the mind, bondage is in the Chitta so to open that knot one has to go there only where the problem lies the one who is engrossed in the world, he wishes to take the objective pleasure through the medium of this body but the more one indulges in sensory pursuits, the more is the depletion of the body's and senses's strength the more you indulge in sensual pleasures, the more you loose the essence of your body from this body when one get indulged more then body will be more diseased you eat more, you see more through eyes you keep seeing the screen more, keeping seeing Television more keep watching cinemas more so now if all this watching will go on then due to its effect, eyes will get weak you will keep eating more- fried, roasted, sour, then there will be problem in your intestine in large intestine, in small intestine if you keep hearing loud music then you will go deaf soon if after eating and drinking, if you keep sitting on the bed, the whole day or on office seat, or sofa then also your body will get sick nowadays many applications have come there are watches, fit bit type of watches are there the Apple watches are saying...you know, see how much you have walked they say, walk at least 10,000 steps a day and people might not be walking 100 steps may be 200 will happen, they don't walk more than this siting whole day, they say, "What's the need to work, many servants are there" What will happen? Servants will be healthy, you will get diseased So enjoyed sitting on sofa, eating and drinking So what did you get out of it? You got the disease now there are obstructions on the path of Gyana this is absolutely certified by our scriptures what I'm narrating to you now In many scriptures of Vedanta, this chapter comes that what are the obstructions of on the path of attaining Gyana what are the obstructions in the path of a person who wishes to get self-realization? everybody wants self-realization but have you ever thought that what are the obstructions on your path? what is the reason that you won't get it? You just demand and you will get it? No..No..No! It is even said that Guru may be Brahma, Guru may be Shankara himself even then also it's not necessary that you become a realised one you bondages are broken, you get liberated It is not necessary. Why? Because if you didn't amend the container of your mind and if you didn't follow the command of Guru in life while staying under His guidance then it doesn't matter how much you have listened and who said you, it also doesn't matter not ordinary Guru 'jo shankar viranch sam hoyi' Tulsidas says in Ramayana, "If the Lord Vishnu himself becomes your Guru" "If the Lord Shankara himself becomes your Guru" or say Guru Nanak himself manifests in body He himself sits and makes us listen to the Gyana then also there is no guarantee that the realisation will happen. Why? The mind with which you are listening, if that mind is not right, if there are some issues in that mind then listening or not listening to the Gyana will become equal We are wishing for it; We are asking for it See, at first, nobody wants (the Gyana) because everyone is happy in the world A happy family is there, a dog is there, a car is there, a bungalow is there four vacations happen in a year- Who needs Lord? Nobody needs Him! One gets to party a bit; one gets to drink a bit What else is needed? A photo get published in newspaper that he is the Honourable person of the city, what else is needed? That's enough! assume that you went to a temple thinking that by going to that temple, this happens Presume that to be Krishna Ji's temple and think that idol of Krishna there gets alive and it starts to speak, and says, "Devotee, have Darshan" Devotee will say, "Leave Darshan, tell me when shall I get 1 Cr"
