भगवान का चिंतन Understanding Contemplation of God Anandmurti Gurumaa (with English subtitles)

Gagan Kaur's question is, 'Chintan' word comes in Srimad Bhagwad Gita. According to me 'Chintan' means to think about something very deeply. While on the page 111 ( okay she is talking about my commentary) you have said 'Chintan', how to do 'Chintan' (contemplation) of God. And there is a way of Pratyahar ( withdrawal of senses) by which chintan (contemplation) of God can be done. But I am little confused on this that does contemplation means same as that of contemplation of God? This is little unclear First thing is that chintan means something, a particular idea, thinking of it in different methods in different logic to ponder upon a thing, to think. when in Gita it comes that contemplation of God should be done here contemplation doesn't mean to think of God. It's mind becoming still on that godliness. Our.. a very lovely saint full of knowledge, age, talent, intelligence Pujyapad Swami Akhandanand Ji Maharaj used to say that who need to think he is not yet a devotee Who has the memory of God intact, he is a devotee. Like does a greedy person has to think that okay today from four to eight I will think of money or the thought of money always keeps running within him? When they become girlfriend boyfriend so to think of them do they have to find a separate time for it or it keeps running in mind? God's devotee is not that who sits in padmasana making spinal column erect taking rosary on hand or think in mind with some mantra then it is devotion He used to say who have to do devotion he is not devotee. Out of whom bhakti (devotion) keeps on emanating continuously, he is devotee. So contemplation of God should be there, what does that mean? Now it can happen for sakar (with form) and also can happen for atman (self). In bhakti marga (path of devotion) it means that you are always in remembrance of the lord. Assume that I am remembering a line..once upon a time now I don't remember it fully, but I am able to remember little once had written, " aati hai roz shaam din dhalne ke baad, (evening comes everyday, after the sun sets) par har shaam ko Mera Shyam aata Nahi, but every evening (shaam), my Lord (Shyam) does not come aati hai roz shaam, (evening comes everyday) aati hai roz shaam, (evening comes everyday) din dhalne ke baad, (after the sun sets) par har shaam mein Shyam aata Nahi... but every evening (shaam), my Lord (Shyam) does not come Aaye kis Roz wo shaam when will that evening (shaam) come jab Shyam bin bulaye When my Lord (Shyam) without being invited chit me Aaye." (comes to mind) You don't have to remember Another was there Aayi shaam har roz din dhalne ke baad, (evening came everyday, after the sun sat) par mera shyam na aaya kabhi, but my Lord (Shyam) never came aawe kabhi wo bhi shaam, May that evening (shaam) come someday jab shyam dil me shaam me aaya kare." ... when the lord (shyam) comes to my heart Now Shyam is the name of Sri Krishna. Evening is also said Shaam Evening has come but Krishna hasn't come. And when will that evening come when Krishna will also come. So have to remember, this is called Chintan (contemplation). And it becomes remembrance it will become an easy contemplation of God. Where there is no doership, there is no feeling of doing. Like you take breath or it comes. Think you have to take, everyone will die while sleeping at night. Because while sleeping you won't remember that you have to breathe. So breath comes we don't take. So when you have to remember, now devotion has not yet started. What is Real devotion? Where the remembrance stays. Contemplation on God. Now again that thing comes, in which skull (mind) indulgence & diseases of world are stuck, attachments, aversion, obsessions are stuck he can't do devotion and he also can't do contemplation and contemplation of God also can't be done by him. That's why the screen of mind needs to be cleaned. I remember words of Swami Ram. He used to say in which thing you have attachment, see first, you have the attachment of which thing. search it. with which thing you have attachment, detach yourself from that thing. If you really have quest for God, then free your heart from that attachment. If it's with an object then from object. If with a person then from the person. And If with a place then from that place. Who has attachment with any place, object or person he can never be a true renunciant. This room is mine. Every time I shall stay here, no one else can stay here This chair is mine. I shall only sit on it no one else can sit on it. This vehicle is mine, only I can sit on it, no one else. He said there should not be stubbornness for anything. And if there is, then detach yourself from that. This tradition of donation that is there, which our sages have created. Donation is not a favor Donation is actually an experiment that do I have any attachments with money? Have any endearment? So with what I have attachments I leave that. Now by giving some donations did he do any favor to anyone or he made his own mind burdenless. So donation word is not for beneficence. That is why the announcement of donation should never be done. Because if announcement is made then in return of that donation you got respect. So just give. Now I am not saying this for household people. This thing is for a renunciant that who is a renunciant only he can do this because if attachment is with any object then detach yourself from that object. And if it is with a person then remove your attachment from that person. See even if it requires physical distance do that also. What is the problem? There is no problem for a renunciant. And if it is with some situation then? with a particular situation. Said... with situation also insistency should not be there. Detachment. There should be detachment. Who is not detached, he remains in pain due to his attachments. Remains in sorrow, in suffering, in pain.
