"raag jaar lobh haar dvesh maar vaar, baar baar mrigvaar paar vaar pekhiye gyana bhan aan tam tam taar bhaag tyaag, jeev seev bhed chhed vedan so lekhiye ved ko vichar saar aap ko sambhar yaar, taar daas paas aas iski na dekhiye nishchal tu chal na achal chal dal chhal, nabh neel tal mal taasun abhisekhiye' Did you get it? you didn't get it? I shall explain it in the next session it is being said—burn your attachments defeat your greed destroy aversions and destroy them repeatedly 'baar baar mrigvaar' destroy this mirage again and again 'paar vaar pekhiye'— see That, which is beyond this mind 'gyana bhan aan tam' awaken the sun of higher wisdom within and for darkness - 'tam taar bhaag tyaag' this darkness... shattering it renounce it 'jeev seev bhed chhed vedan so lekhiye' Are Jeeva and Shiva distinct, or is there unity between them? understand this 'aap ko sambhar yaar, taar daas paas aas' be careful of wavering and everything present around by which you've been enslaved, free yourself from that slavery 'nishchal tu chal na achal chal dal chhal' be unwavering become still and do not let this force of desires and anger deceive you don't let it tie you down 'nabh neel tal mal taasun abhisekhiye' just like the sky's blue colour does not actually make the sky blue, it only makes the sky appear as blue the world is an illusion and only Atman is the true reality— for whom, this quest has now reached its culmination for such a being, this world is merely an illusion, nothing more than a mere perception but this won't happen by just listening to it once hence— 'raag jaar lobh haar dvesh maar vaar, baar baar mrigvaar paar vaar pekhiye' O dear, it is the unparalleled Gyana (the higher wisdom), this won't be understood by the ones who are thick-skulled the ones whose intellect is filled with greed and attachments, this Gyana isn't meant for them for them, it's like performing aarti during the morning and evening time, lighting a lamp and incense stick...and then continue to suffer for the sake of this world for them, nothing is above all this the subtleties of Vedanta Gyana aren't meant for those who are laden with attachments hence, in the earlier times, sages used to say putting it straight they would say- contemplate on the divine, study a bit of Bhagwad, study Ramayana, that's fine but if somebody used to ask - 'I want to know Atman, Brahman, want to know what Moksha is' then they would reply— 'when your mind would be emptied, come to us at that time' for, there are immense worldly concerns in your mind until your mind is emptied of everything, till then this Gyana cannot be imparted to you go and empty your mind, first and foremost the one whose mind isn't empty this is a highly subtle subject, hence it won't be possible for them to comprehend it for people, till the time, everything in the world... they are robbed of everything, probably they aren't able to leave their attachments till then it stays intact if one gives up attachments some space can be created in the mind then for contemplation of the higher wisdom, for augmenting the power of discrimination, for understanding the one whose intellect is filled with filth whose mind is filled with desires of sensory indulgences it isn't meant for that person Such a person... 'baar vaar maar maar' - maar also refers to a demon, maar means the attachments of our mind his attachments destroy him it's not death which kills him, it is attachment that kills it's not life which destroys him, it is the anxieties which destroy it's not the people who cause pain it's the attachment which causes pain A woman met me she has a son, her husband had died when the son wasn't married, he was a nice person and as soon as he got married, he lost his mind slapping & fighting with his mother, he snatched all the property and wealth related papers from her now, what should I do? she is asking me as to what she should do I told her - you won't be able to leave your attachment hence, you won't be able to take a harsh step but, I am familiar with one such woman whose only son didn't turn out to be a good person he turned out to be greedy though, the husband had transferred most possessions in the wife's name but for those few things which were in the son's name which the mother... the mother was made to sign it forcibly the mother signed it owing to compulsion later, when she realised she sought a lawyer this is a judgement by the Supreme Court - the son and daughter-in-law who do not look after their parents parents can take back even that property which had earlier been transferred to them on the basis of this section this mother had filed a case on her son and the court the court has millions of cases to resolve..but somehow, the verdict in this case though, it did take three to four years but, after three-four years, the verdict came out in the mother's favour hence, all the legal property papers which were in the son's name, were now all taken back everything had to be returned I told her- in any case, abuses will be hurled at you, you're facing it now and you'll be facing it then atleast, set your life in place hence, I notice this thing that nobody causes pain to the other person, it is your own attachments that cause you pain and this hope that despite being demonic in nature today, they will certainly change tomorrow...be it for the son, husband, sister, wife they might be really cruel today, but they'll be a reformed person tomorrow..if not today, they'll become better tomorrow and then they remain entangled in seeking solutions from astrologers - 'wear this stone, wear that stone, do this jap, perform that charity' and then they keep doing the same in this hope that if not today, it will all be fine tomorrow if one relinquishes attachment today, one will be liberated from sorrows this very moment but, one finds it hard to relinquish attachments Revered Swami Akhandanand Ji Maharaj used to say- one that comes easily, but is hard to be sent away, that is 'aasakti' and if one destroys this very attachment one does not have to necessarily leave one's house; Just like King Janaka, such a person can become a Rishi, while continuing to remain a householder can become a Rishi while continuing to live in one's house he becomes a Mahatma, owing to his Viveka (power of discrimination) and Gyana and what if he doesn't renounce his attachments in that case, even if one goes to live in an Ashram, there too, disciples can be seen arguing - 'I shall be appointed as the successor to sit on Guru-gaddi (seat-of-the-Guru)' the Guru and disciple would begin to fight over the 'seat-of-the-Guru' but, one needs to think a person who is fighting over the Guru-gaddi, wealth, property, he isn't even a Sadhu he shouldn't be called a 'sadhu' do you know In the tradition of Shankara Sannyasa, when somebody takes up Sannyasa, then he performs his last rites with his own hands that I am no longer alive, from this day onwards but sometimes even this remains confined to being an act of display for, the reason why he is donning those red clothes is that—when I'll become a disciple of so-and-so Guru, then I'll be a successor to the Guru's seat then Guruji would make me his successor, and there isn't just one follower who has this wish, there would be around fifty followers having the same wish so, were they followers of Gyana, or followers of wealth and possessions? a person who is away from Gyana, and is wandering in his ignorance be it a householder, or a sage condition of both, is terrible and if there's no attachment then, even a householder is a sage and for the sadhu who has renounced all attachment, such a person is a 'sant' then and, in this world the manifestation of divine sages will never cease if you never happened to come across a sadhu, then it is your sheer bad luck don't say that there aren't any sages left in this world..they do exist but only the one, who is fortunate enough will get to meet them the one who isn't fortunate, he will meet only those.. who are only bothered about matters concerning their followers and their greed so, work on your mind what is it that needs to be done? 'raag jaar lobh haar' burn your attachment defeat your greed 'baar baar mrigvaar paar vaar pekhiye' transcending this mirage the one who knows the whole world as an illusion, with whom can such a person have attachment or aversion he becomes liberated of both these bondages
