This line is from Ramayana - earth, water, fire, air, ether This body is made up of these five elements Goswami Tulsidas ji says this Look nobody can refute this wisdom, this knowledge Those who are devotees of Rama worship Rama Some worship Him in form and others worship the formless Some worship Krishna and some worship Shiva Some worship Guru Nanak So, they believe in formless Paramatman that is Eternal and Infinite And everyone may have different beliefs, prayers, mantras and rituals But one truth is exactly the same in everyone What is that truth? This is what Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Maharaj says The air goes back to air, fire goes back to fire Earth and earth became one Then whom do you cry for? Exactly the same words are coming here, if you pay attention If you cry, who are you crying for? Air went back into air Like they say - breath left the body Many times people say - so and so breathed his last We don't say that he died They say that but wise people will say that 'he breathed his last' Or they say that his breaths got completed So, the inner air merged with outer air So, Guru Sahib says 'pavane mein pavan samaya' Air merged into air 'jyoti mein jot ral jaya' (Light merged with light) This 'I', the jeeva (individual soul) is in the form of light And this belongs to Paramatman and it merges with Paramatman Now, you will say that "we have no knowledge of this" Because you have not put any effort into this You did B.Tech, Software Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, IAS, IPS, PPS, Judiciary exams NEET, JEET...you have worked so hard on these Kids study for up to 12 hours so that they get a good score in the competitive exams And they can get admission in IITs and IIMs When did you work hard to know what is jeeva (individual soul)? 'What is the meaning of Atman?' - When did you work hard to understand this? Leave Atman aside 'What is Paramatman?' - To know this, to understand this which Mahatma's school did you get admitted to? And neither is this some sort of magic This is a lot of hard work Kabir Sahib has a saying Sahib says - 'sant aur paras mein bado antaro jaan' (There is big difference between a Sant and philosopher's stone) 'oh loya kanchan kare' (Philosopher's stone turns iron into gold) 'oh kar le aap saman (Sant makes you like him/her) It is said that philosopher's stone exists or you can say that it is mythical/imaginary That if the philosopher's stone touches iron, it converts iron into gold But remember Philosopher's stone doesn't convert iron into a philosopher's stone, just gold But Sant is one who doesn't let her disciple remain a disciple but turns him into a Sant Not less than that! This is my effort Look, I am not here to make anyone a chela (follower) A follower is nothing but a problem-creator At one time, the follower will sing praises of the Guru But if the Guru is twisted like me Then your ego will not get any boost I am not going to butter your ego And then he will get upset because of something and say - "I have seen it all...she is good for nothing" I don't care Your respect, the prestige given by you...it means nothing to me By showing some magic or by giving a false hope - I am not here to make anyone a follower like that Because I know that Who I am - you are the same I know it and you don't That's the only difference What I have, you have it too As much Paramatman is within me, that much is within you too I know it and you don't I know it So, I am living life in bliss If you know this then you will live in bliss too That's why I come to you again and again So, I am not here to make you a follower I am here to make you a Sant One who realizes the Truth is a Sant One who has experienced the Truth is a Sant One who has understood the secret of Truth is a Sant And anyone can do this But until this knowledge is not there Until then you will cry So, neither is Guru Nanak saying anything different than Kabir Sahib on this knowledge Nor is Kabir Sahib saying anything different than Goswami Tulsidas Nor is Sant Raidas Maharaj saying anything different than Tulsidas Nor is Sant Raidas saying anything different than what Krishna is saying in Bhagvad Gita Nor is Bhagvad Gita saying anything different than what Rishis and saying in Upanishads - Exactly same One that cannot be killed And the One that never dies You are that Atman-Swaroopa That which dies is the body And you are not the body Krishna is saying this to Arjuna again and again That which reduces, that which changes Is not you Your childhood ended in youth And youth is now turning into old age No matter how much Chayavanprash (mix of herbs) you eat If bones tremble, then they just tremble There is no magical herb until now although many people claim to have found it At one time, it could be seen everywhere....on walls, on boards and on posters That 'bring back your youth - we have the formula' If Alexander had this formula, would he die? If this formula... Was available to the wealthy people in this world, then would they age? Would they get sick and die? But this is the reality One that is born is not you That which will die is the body and it is not you So, when I know this through experience and certainty That I am not the body It is a rented house, we are not it's owner We are not the owners We are not the owners We are not the owners of this body We are not the owners of this life either He (Lord) alone is the owner And that owner is quite twisted If someone thinks too much of himself and is egoistic He deflates his ego first Have you seen? Powerful, strong young people who are full of ego and tell others - "don't you know who I am?" Then they are stuck on a wheelchair They are unable to speak A father was beating up his son The father is slapping him and the son is counting Five, six, seven... Suddenly he thought - what is he doing? "Why are you counting?" He said, "Dad, you won't always remain young" "One day you will be old and I will be young" "So, I am keeping a count" "Of how many times you hit me" "Then I will take revenge accordingly" "So, hit me - I am also counting" I feel sorry, I feel very sorry You earn so much money But O Punjabis! You waste your money on food, drinks and dance alone Why don't you sit down and receive knowledge? You bow down to Baba Nanak's teachings and just eat the food offered at langar and come back home Why don't you go deep into Japji Sahib? Why? Let me say it again Your disease don't go away merely by bowing down to the hospital building Only when the doctors sees you and gives the right medicine Then your disease gets cured Right now...ahh... Tell me And if someone is doing a private or government job, you will not earn so much money in that Now, to earn more... Even when people are looking for a match, they ask - "what does the boy do?" "There is no additional income" "Then we don't want this match, we won't marry off our daughter for this salary" A match is finalized based on extra income This extra income is needed because your dreams are too big I am not saying don't have big dreams - You should definitely have them But that you will be immensely happy when these dreams are fulfilled - don't remain in this delusion I have seen rich people cry I have seen them be desperate for sleep I have seen them be desperate for hunger In Kolkata, I was staying at a billionaire's bungalow He loved me a lot But Like it happens, while earning money he didn't pay attention to his health and food habits Some genetic disease happened He had Alzheimer's and slowly he lost his memory And he also had Parkinson's partly Then he was on a wheelchair Then he couldn't even keep his eyes open So, he would have a tape on his eyelids...like this, a plastic tape So that his eyes remain open And then every 10 minutes, some medicine needed to be put in his eye So that no insect or mosquito goes into the eye or the eye doesn't dry up That's why every few minutes, they would take the tape off So that his eye would close And then the eyes would open...there was a servant just to open and close the eye He had billions of rupees But how would a person sitting in a wheelchair enjoy that? Because he would stay awake all night He would drink alcohol He was connected to an American company So, he would need to stay up at night Because there is a 12 or 16 hour time difference If you are in San Francisco or New York, there is a 12 hour or a 14 hour difference To stay awake late at night, they drink alcohol, drink coffee and eat fried food They eat processed food They eat butter chicken Eating so much butter and chicken, increased his cholesterol levels And damaged his liver Anyway, I want to say something Listen with a hand on your heart, this will be bitter If someone holds your one year old or 6 month old child by his feet and throws him at a wall How would you feel? Your son, your daughter...6 month or 1 year old...holding them by their feet Someone throws them at the wall like this...how would you feel? Now, holding every single chicken and chopping their head off is difficult so hold 4 chickens together by their feet and throw them at the wall And they cry and they are scared And they want to run, they want to fly But an animal called human kills them for his taste So that he can eat butter chicken That chicken is someone's child That lamb, that calf is someone's child You have a pet dog at home So, someone said to a woman, "Your dog is very beautiful" She said, "Don't call him a dog, he is my son" That's too much, she made the dog her son She said, "I have three kids" There was a boy and a girl in front of her so she said - "This is Shampy, Simple and Georgi" The dog was called Georgi
