I couldn't sleep in my whole journey we took a deluxe train that goes from Amritsar to Bombay It stops at Mathura, we got down at Mathura and, from there took a tonga in the tonga we sat and as soon as we got down at Mathura station, I felt as if Krishna Maharaj himself would come to receive me at the station this excited and from there when we sat in the tonga, this sixteen kilometers long distance from Mathura to Vrindavan this distance every single tree every single bush that was seen, it felt as if Krishna must have touched it Krishna must have seen it He must have rested beneath this because the vibrations of Mahatmas and Avatars, they never die because they have released the energy and energy is indestructible, it is just there always those buildings, huts, farms that were being seen on seeing the farms it felt as if Krishna must have danced here with the peacocks and, on seeing the clouds it felt as if it's the same cloud seeing which Krishna's name became Shyama Sundar the clouds were dark coloured and Krishna's complexion too dark, so they are exactly those five thousand years have passed but that does not matter to me there, in the street of Bihari Ji's temple where do I have to stop, have to stop right in Bihari Ji's street and got a room in a Dharamshala there, and I couldn't sleep the entire night firstly, couldn't sleep, secondly electricity went off, hence also couldn't sleep the entire night, while being seated on the bed, kept waiting for this thing that when the sound of prayer comes in the morning, then I should be there at the door by that time and, as the tonga reached Vrindavan, I removed my shoes there itself one shouldn't wear shoes at a pilgrimage packed the shoes, for I didn't need them then so, as long as I stayed there, stayed barefoot, wherever went, went barefoot and at that time, rickshaw wasn't very prevalent, so to go somewhere you had to walk all the time and, we are visiting temples and whichever temple I went to, sat there itself, wherever I sat, eyes naturally closed and when they opened after two-four hours, so got up and ate if received something to eat otherwise after wandering, went back to that Dharamshala and stayed and then a little, you know a steel box, a pipa (tin box with a lid) referred to as kanastar in Punjabi and Hindi had stored some lentils, rice, a vessel, a cooker in it would cook as per the need and eat one time, and have to eat only once not twice, because have heard that Bhagwad says to eat only one time to sleep on the ground do not wear shoes not to sleep till morning to worship With this sentiment, for around nine days there the holidays were only of around nine or maybe twelve days it was easter break maybe so, had these many days only, and it would take a day to return back so we stayed there, that was my in a way second experience second because first I had it with a Mahatma in Vrindavan, so I was just repeating my second experience, but this time I'm solo, going.. going solo and wherever I would go there is a fragrance all around, a scent, a fragrance and Kirtan (chants and prayers) everywhere in Vrindavan now, wherever I heard the music of kirtan, the sound of dholak, manjeera sat there itself and when that ecstasy occurred, started dancing there itself danced there itself and the ones doing kirtan would want to wind up and here, dancing just didn't stop and then they would insist on leaving, sometimes the temple people would say- ask her to go out, we have to close the gates as it is already eight in the night we have to close the temple gates take her, and my followers would get in trouble as how would they say not to dance going on a pilgrimage does not mean this It is not a picnic spot, it is not a hill station which people have turned it into by going to a pilgrim place, an ashram, to the banks of some holy river, some cave, mountain if you get the opportunity of being in solitude for me this was such a huge thing, how should I tell you by the ninth day, on the foot all sores, you know the heels got cracked and dirty because how much would you wash you are still walking on the bare roads and muddy roads and dirt roads it was a bad condition so they requested me to wear khadau (wooden slippers), if not something else I said yes then wore khadau then I wore the khadau for the next almost four five years wore nothing else but khadau then except when I had to go to school since khadau wasn't allowed in school, had to wear shoes there So, wore shoes but when returned would again wear khadau, and the 'khat' sound of khadau this rhythmic sound felt very pleasant to the ears The work, which we can't accomplish while being at home, if we do all those spiritual practices by going to an ashram or a place of pilgrimage if you go with this sentiment, then your pilgrimage is a success and if you go only with the intention of going on a tour or with this that, if we go there we'll offer this, offer that Oh foolish person, what can you give to the one who has given you this life that you are living We think, human intellect is so ignorant, you know how ignorant people are they think as if God is just like a human being who can be pampered with gifts and God will be happy and then God will bless us more A gentleman was saying we have said, oh goddess if our work is successfully done, then we'll offer an umbrella of gold at Vaishno Devi temple now, this is worth a laugh is she waiting for your umbrella? you have considered her to be a greedy human like you But this is how people think about God also who can be bribed who can be given some expensive gifts and we can buy blessings not possible this does not happen Jiva (individual soul) seeks bliss in the world, and this way his entire life passes right in front of his eyes but that fool simply does not understand that the bliss which he is seeking it is the Paramatman (the supreme self) who is the blissful one and Paramatman does not reside in some country, temple, pilgrimage place, mountain, river, pond He is the all-pervasive one, and that who is everywhere we don't even need to travel one millimeter to see God the closest where you can find godliness is within you and if you do not know how to delve into your own mind if you do not know how to disengage your mind from the worldly race, make it calm and one-pointed and become still within then simply forget that you'll be able to experience that supreme bliss ever in your life Everybody seeks bliss it has to be acquired from within and in order to go within, spiritual practice is required which we'll make you learn, and right now you will also do an exercise along with the spiritual practice three things you have to remember, number one is your body body has to be kept healthy and when you sit, you need to sit erect if you sit with your back slouched then, the gravitational force of earth will have more effect on you, because of which there will be more lethargy in your body let's say if I ask you to hold your arm horizontally to the ground, would this be difficult? or if I say keep your arm vertical with the body if I ask you to keep your arm this way is this difficult? or if I say let it remain vertical, with the way it is already adjacent to the body, how difficult will it be? keeping it straight downwards or keeping it this way which one will be difficult? Why? because it's area of gravity increases in this one if you keep your area of gravity this way, then your arm will feel exhausted in sometime then there will be pain, so but obvious you will keep your arm here your whole day you keep your arm with your body, your arm never feels exhausted does your arm ever feel exhausted by being this way with the body it is with the body, has support and area of gravity reduces Similarly, when you sit erect spine is erect, area of gravity gets reduced when you sit with your lumbar region going curvy the area increases similarly sitting with legs stretched out then that posture is incorrect hence it is said to sit with folded legs So ideally speaking, in Padmasana in Siddhasana or in Virasana, in Swastikasana one should sit and practice now, Padmasana is not possible for you Siddhasana is not possible for you Swastikasana is not possible for you because your body should have immense flexibility to practice these three asanas which comes by practicing yogasanas regularly your body should not come in the way when you are wishing to quieten up your mind so what is an easy solution for it? They said just simply sit cross-legged if possible, it is very easy, if possible then sit in Sahajasana How is Sahajasana done you just lift your right leg and place it on your left thigh simple if it is possible
